Ringing the bell at Huggins Hospital's Cancer Care & Infusion Center! With tears throughout the crowd, Tina Maxfield, of Wolfeboro, became the first person to ring the bell at Huggins Hospital's Cancer Care & Infusion Center! Our Huggins Family, along with Tina's loved ones, took a moment to celebrate Tina's accomplishment of finishing her chemotherapy journey at Huggins Hospital. Tina shared that she reached this milestone after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January of this year and that she would always be grateful for the compassion of the Huggins Hospital staff. She also wanted to share that she went through this journey with her husband, Chip Maxfield - who recently passed away - by her side. All of our Huggins Family is sending Tina healing thoughts as she navigates the next stages of her journey.

We wanted to share that Region 7 Early Childhood Partnership will be in attendance tomorrow and will be offering $20 vouchers to market families for use on fresh or prepared food.

Stop by Region 7's tents & pick up their "map" of family-serving organizations (all available at Region 7's tents). Then visit each of those organizations' tables to learn about them & receive a signature on your "map".

𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔?
Hand the map back in and receive $20 in vouchers (valid only for 7/24 at our market)

This is a great way to both learn about organizations in our region who support families as well as receive a little local grocery help at the market.

Surgical Readiness Program at Huggins Hospital

At Huggins Hospital, we’re committed to helping patients feel prepared, supported and confident heading into surgery. Our Surgical Readiness Program is designed to ensure patients are fully informed and ready for their procedure, working closely with your Surgeon, Anesthesia Provider, Primary Care Provider and any specialists involved in your care.

We’re excited to share that Tara McKenna, FNP-C, will be transitioning from Wolfeboro Family Medicine to the Surgical Readiness team! Tara brings her passion for patient-centered care and will help guide individuals through every step of their surgical journey.
