As Boating Season Winds Down...

The docks are getting quieter, the mornings are a little crisper, and it’s that bittersweet time of year again — when we start thinking about putting our beloved wooden boats to bed for the winter.

Hauling, cleaning, draining, and winterizing are all part of the ritual, but it’s also the season for planning what’s next. Maybe your boat needs some varnish work, fresh upholstery, or a new plank or two. Or maybe you’ve got a full restoration project waiting for those long winter months.

Chapter members joined the opening ceremony runs each day of the Vintage Race Boat Regatta, taking course laps before the racing began. The event, held every other year on Lake Winnipesaukee, brings together classic race boats and enthusiasts. Come along for the ride!
