๐ In Honor of National Nurses Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our incredible nursing staff and share just how special they truly are! ๐
This week, we are proud to spotlight Barb! ๐ฉโโ๏ธ
Barb has been a nurse for an amazing 36 years. She spent 20 years working as a nursery nurse before transitioning into supportive living, where she has dedicated the last 16 years caring for residents with compassion and kindness.
When asked what inspired her to become a nurse, Barb shared:
โจ โI came from a large family, so I was very nurturing with my younger siblings.โ โจ
One of the most rewarding parts of working in supportive living for Barb is simple but meaningful:
๐ โSeeing everyoneโs smiles.โ ๐
During her shifts, you can usually find Barb fueled by her favorites:
๐ฅค Coke Zero & ๐ซ a Zero candy bar!
Barb says that strong communication and having a supportive team help make every shift run smoothly.
We also asked Barb what advice she would give to new nurses or anyone considering the nursing profession. Her advice:
๐ฌ โHave a positive outlook. Learn to delegate, and have compassion.โ ๐ฌ
High Point Wood River is incredibly grateful for Barbโs dedication, experience, and the compassionate care she provides to our residents every single day.
Please join us in celebrating Barb and wishing her a very Happy Nurses Week! ๐๐
Happy Nurses Week Barb!!!
