Questions we hear every day:
“Is cramping normal in early pregnancy?”

• Mild cramping can be common
• The uterus is changing and growing
• Pain should not be severe or persistent

👉 Call us if pain is strong, one-sided, or worsening. Early pregnancy comes with a lot of new sensations. Some cramping can be normal—but we always want to know if something doesn’t feel right. When in doubt, reach out!

Is this normal?
😣 Period cramps

• Mild–moderate pain
• Achy or tight feeling
• Relief with heat or OTC meds

👉 Common for many patients.

When to check in:
• Pain that stops daily activities
• Pain that’s getting worse over time
• Cramps not helped by medication

Some cramping is common—but suffering is not something you have to “just live with.” If your pain is interfering with school, work, or sleep, it’s worth a conversation. You deserve comfort.

Questions we hear every day:
“Is birth control supposed to feel like this?”

• Some side effects are common early on
• Ongoing or severe symptoms aren’t normal
• You have options

👉 Birth control should work with your body. There’s no “one perfect” birth control for everyone. If yours doesn’t feel right, we can adjust. You don’t have to settle.

Is this normal?
💧 Vaginal discharge

• Clear or white
• Changes during your cycle
• No strong odor or itching

👉 This usually means your body is healthy.

When to check in:
• Strong or unusual odor
• Itching or burning
• Sudden color changes

Discharge is normal—and it often changes throughout the month. Google can be scary, but your OB-GYN can give real answers.

If something seems different, we’re happy to talk it through.

Questions we hear every day:
“Do I really need an annual exam?”

• Yes—even if you feel fine
• Preventive care catches issues early
• It’s also a chance to ask questions

👉 Think of it as care, not just a test. Annual visits aren’t only about exams—they’re about your overall health, concerns, and peace of mind.

We want you to leave informed, not rushed.

Is this normal?
🩸 Period cycles

• Cycles every 21–35 days
• Periods lasting 3–7 days
• Some month-to-month variation

👉 This is often normal.

When to check in:
• Skipping periods regularly
• Bleeding longer than 7 days
• Very heavy flow

Period cycles don’t have to be identical to be normal. Bodies change with stress, sleep, age, and hormones.
If your cycle feels off to you, that’s reason enough to ask. We’re here.
