Today on World Mental Health Day, let’s talk about something simple but powerful:
compassion and connection.

We never know what someone is carrying.
A smile might hide anxiety.
A calm face might mask exhaustion.
A cheerful “I’m fine” might be a quiet cry for help.

You don’t have to fix someone’s pain.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is simply see them, listen, and stay.

Connection heals. Compassion saves.
Check in with someone today, including yourself.

The Trillium van leaving at 11am to transport members! Trillium will be closed tomorrow so that we can attend this event!

This past Sunday, we passed a milestone
Trillium Center turned 18!!

We didn’t get here by chance
We got here because people kept showing up
Because someone always opened the door
Made the coffee
Sat down and said
“You don’t have to do this alone”

We got here thanks to staff like Kevin and Sharon
Who have been here since day one
Who kept the lights on
Held the space
And never stopped believing in what this could be

We were doing peer support before it had a name
Before it had funding
Before the world understood what we already knew
That lived experience matters
That healing happens between people

This is not a perfect place
It’s a real one
Messy, honest, brave
Built by peers
Sustained by trust
Made stronger every time someone walks in and chooses to stay

Eighteen years
And we’re still here
Still listening
Still learning
Still building something that lasts

To everyone who’s been part of this
