🌸 Spring Fundraiser Announcement 🌸

At Eyestyles of Woodbridge, we proudly host fundraisers twice a year to support local charities. This spring, my daughter wanted to take part in the effort and came up with a wonderful idea — an Easter basket inside a Golden Egg filled with Nee-Doh squishies, including some hard-to-find and sold-out favorites.

She was excited to create something fun that could help raise as much as possible for the charity she chose, and I couldn’t be more proud of her initiative and thoughtfulness.

We have one last Golden Egg Easter basket available. We will be selling raffle entries now through the week before Easter — the next 3 weeks.

My optical friends out there… how crazy is it that this week I got hit with a -8 with a -9 cyl in one eye and basically plano with a -1 and prism in the other? Holy crow.

We’re using base-in prism in the right to help offset that massive difference between the two eyes. If you know, you know. 🤯

And last week? A Rose K gas permeable lens fitting. Totally insane. Thirty years in this business and I’ve seen some tricky prescriptions, but this week has been a full-blown optical circus.

But here’s the win… my contact lens wearer came in saying “Yahoo! I can see perfectly!” Base curve and diameter were actually on point (which almost never happens on the first go). He picked up his first pair today and could see crystal clear — which was huge because I still have to make him flash-front prescription sunglasses for vacation. No pressure, right? 😅

Had to lower the base curve and tweak a few things because DrX didn’t even come in that cyl — and let’s be honest, the phoropter doesn’t even go up to a -9.

So yeah… I’m tooting my own horn a little today. Yesterday was a bit of a s**t show, but today felt like a win.

To my gas-perm wearers and my high-cylinder corneal crew — if you’re struggling… come see me. I love a good optical challenge. 👓✨
