One of my little friends has been working on attention to task, body regulation, and learning how to keep a still, calm body during activities. What better way to support those goals than with extra-large Jenga? š
What may look like ājust a gameā is actually a powerful opportunity for skill-building. Extra-large Jenga helps strengthen focus, turn-taking, patience, problem-solving, depth perception, motor planning, and frustration tolerance, all while creating a fun and engaging environment for learning.
Of course, there were moments of frustration, and that became part of the lesson too. We paused, worked through those big feelings, practiced different calming strategies, and learned new ways to help regulate our little bodies so we could get back to the task.
Once the rhythm was found and confidence kicked in, it quickly turned into the real challenge, trying to figure out how he could finally beat Dr. Taj šāØ
These are the moments where growth happens through play, patience, and purposeful connection.
