Earlier this month, our hearts were absolutely FULL! The wonderful students from Lincoln Elementary stopped by to hand-deliver Valentine’s Day cards to our residents and it was truly the sweetest sight. ❤️

There was laughter, joy, and so many special moments. Thank you, Lincoln Elementary, for making our community feel so loved!💗

We had such a fun week here at Heartwood Place! 💕From darts battles and a nature scavenger hunt to our Valentine’s tea party filled with bingo, crafts, and lots of giggles. It was nonstop fun!

Even the rainy day turned into an adventure with a little drive, hot cocoa, and pastries. We wrapped it all up with super cup toss, more crafting, and some relaxing hair-and-nail pampering.

Already excited for the next round of fun!❤

February is the Month of Love, and our community is truly feeling it. This week was filled with lots of smiles and so much kindness from our wonderful residents.❤

We tried some new games, shared a bit of friendly competition, and, most importantly, created memories wrapped in laughter and love. Watching our residents encourage one another, cheer each other on, and enjoy each moment together reminds us how special our little family is. 💕

What an amazing week it’s been! 💛 We shared so many smiles, laughs, and special moments together. From getting our nails done to singing our favorite songs, learning how crayons are made, playing balloon volleyball, and so much more!

Yesterday we braved the rainy morning and headed out to The White Rabbit Bakey in Aurora, and it turned out to be the perfect cozy outing! 💛

The residents had an absolute blast. While we waited for our drinks, we snapped a few photos, shared lots of funny stories, and enjoyed each other’s company. On the ride back, we sang some oldies together and filled the van with smiles.

Such a sweet way to spend a rainy day! ☔️

Another January weekly recap with some highlights from this past week!

Last week, we enjoyed a fun outing to Bi-Mart for snacks and cute décor, a lovely Red Hat Tea Party with pastries and tea ☕🌸, and some creative scratch art time. Our residents did amazing!

One of the biggest highlights of the week was watching The Wizard of Oz after our SingFIT session. The residents absolutely loved it and enjoyed singing along to the familiar songs 🎶🌈

Family Support Group Schedule Change❗❗

We want to let everyone know that our Family Support Group schedule is changing for this month! We are very excited to announce that Charlie with Gracious Hospice will be joining us to lead the group on Wednesday, January 28th, at 1:15 PM.

Charlie is an incredible resource and is very knowledgeable in the areas of Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Hospice care. Whether you have specific questions, are looking for some advice, or simply want a safe space to share stories about your own experiences, Charlie is here to listen and help.

We know that navigating these journeys can sometimes feel lonely, but please know you aren’t alone. This group is a safe, warm space to meet others who are in the same boat, people who truly understand the ups and downs of what you are going through.

Everyone is welcome, and we would love to have you join us for this meaningful afternoon.💛

It was another wonderful week at Heartwood, filled with lots of laughter and joy!💛

The dining room was buzzing with LOTS of excitement during Bingo, where winners left with some yummy treats. We also shared a meaningful afternoon folding linens during "Tasks with a Purpose," which sparked some truly lovely stories and memories. 💕

Of course, we had to turn up the volume for SingFit! We had a blast singing our hearts out to everything from "New York, New York" to The Mamas & the Papas. During our Red Hat Tea Party, we enjoyed some fresh fruit, coloring, and a bit of trivia while relaxing with friends. To top it all off, a lovely Spa Day left everyone feeling pampered and beautiful. 💅

We are so grateful for these moments and can't wait for another week of smiles. 😊

Yesterday we enjoyed an outing to Burgerville with some of our residents. We shared a meal, spent time together, and enjoyed a bit of fresh air along the way.

It was a nice change of pace and a good opportunity to get out and do something familiar. We’re thankful for days like this and look forward to doing it again soon.😄🩷

Yesterday was such a full and joyful day here at Heartwood. 💕We spent time pampering ourselves with nail care, soothing hand massages, and calming aromatherapy.

Later in the day, we gathered for puzzles and crafts, creating beautiful heart wreaths that will soon decorate our bulletin boards next month.

Finally, we ended the day the best way possible, singing as a group and dancing around to some favorite songs. We’re so grateful for moments filled with care, creativity, and love 💗🎶
