Maya Saysay, MS LPC, NCC is working out of our Woodbury North Sagent clinic with openings both virtual and in person!

Maya is Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience working at a nonprofit agency serving individuals who have experienced trauma and at a university coordinating care for clients as young as five years old. She has also worked with adolescents, couples, and families. Maya prioritizes empathy and relationship-building in therapy. She believes the most rewarding aspect of her work is helping clients realize they are not defined by their difficult experiences and empowering them through self-advocacy.

Teresa is dedicated to working with individuals and families, helping them navigate different seasons of life. She employs strategies from various therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ARC, CPT, and solutions-focused therapy, to support clients on their journey toward growth and healing.

With extensive experience as a foster/adoptive parent and a former intensive treatment therapist in foster care, Teresa is well-equipped to assist families involved with the foster care system. She holds a Permanency and Adoption Competence Certification from the University of Minnesota.

Teresa has worked in diverse settings, including home, office, school, and agencies focused on supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, she is part of the Protector Overwatch Program, specializing in assisting first responders, military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Outside of work, Teresa finds joy in music and nature, enjoys playing pickleball, attending concerts, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family.
