This week, Tanya Estrada did an exercise with the ladies on a mustard seed.

They had the opportunity to plant a seed while receiving a lesson on this interesting plant that Jesus referred to.

He said to them, ā€œBecause of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ā€˜Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.ā€ Matthew 17:20

🌱Did you know that even though a mustard seed is one of the tiniest seeds, it becomes invasive when it grows to maturity? This is like our faith, according to Christ.

🌱But the seed must first be planted.

Under the soil, in a seemingly dark place.

Then it’s watered.

Roots begin to sprout,

And soon…

It rises above in victory!

For many of our women, S2L Women is a place where the seed is planted.

It feels like waiting.

One plants, another waters.

But God brings the increase! šŸ’œ

We aren’t just treatment.

We are raising up leaders.

Restoring dignity.

Challenging what is not working.

Calling our people to repentance.

Fighting for freedom.

Declaring Joy.

āœ“ļøRecovery should never just be ā€œgetting soberā€ and ā€œlearning how to cope.ā€

Those things are good, but not a compelling vision.

šŸ’œSo what is?šŸ’œ

Realizing purpose and possibility.

Experiencing freedom.

Having a sense of wonder again.

Caring for those around you.

….and knowing who you are in Christ.

God is with us!

Another baptism!

We praise you, Lord of the Harvest, for allowing us to be a part of Your good and perfect plan for these women. Thank you, Lord, for using these imperfect vessels to serve you in Your mission!

Thank you, Lord, for S2L, for our team, for our ladies, for the beautiful campus, and for Your presence with us here to break the yoke of addiction.

May our woman enjoy the benefits of fellowship of you, properly worshipping you, in Freedom and Joy!

Lord, we pray Your Spirit continue to guide us and for Satan to not touch us, our women, this campus, our families, or S2L.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.

Forgiveness. This is so vital to our inner healing and freedom in recovery. There are so many who may be sober, but are carrying a heavy burden of shame, resentment, anger, and bitterness.

We talk with our women at length about this, teaching them about true biblical forgiveness.

1. Acknowledge the Offense and Feel the Pain
• Recognize the hurt or wrongdoing done to you. Scripture acknowledges that being wronged can cause pain (Psalm 34:18).

2. Choose to Forgive
• Forgiveness is a deliberate choice, not just a feeling. Jesus teaches in Matthew 18:21-22 to forgive ā€œseventy times sevenā€ times, indicating an ongoing choice.

3. Pray for God’s Help
• Ask God to help soften your heart and enable you to forgive (Mark 11:25). Prayer is essential to receive God’s grace in forgiveness.

4. Release the Offender
• Let go of bitterness, anger, and desire for revenge against the person who wronged you. Ephesians 4:31-32 instructs believers to ā€œput away all bitternessā€ and ā€œbe kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another.ā€

5. Seek Reconciliation When Possible
• If appropriate, seek to restore the relationship (Matthew 5:23-24). Forgiveness can be separate from reconciliation, but reconciliation is encouraged when feasible.

6. Remember God’s Forgiveness Toward You
• Reflect on how God has forgiven your sins (Colossians 3:13). This gratitude should motivate your willingness to forgive others.

7. Live Out Forgiveness
• Forgiveness should result in changed attitudes and behaviors—no longer holding grudges or speaking ill of the person (Romans 12:17-21).

You’re not at your end, you're far from it. When you think you’re done, there’s still more left in you.

"I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." -Phillipians 4:13

We had an incredible conversation with Kyler, producer of "Just One More", a film that dives into the reality of addiction and the strength it takes to keep going. Grateful for him sharing the heart behind this project.

Be sure to watch Just One More when it releases (May 14th on ) and check out twinboltmedia.com for more.
