Your feet are your foundation… and when that foundation is off, everything else starts to feel it.

From your knees to your back, even your overall mood… foot pain has a ripple effect most people don’t realize until it slows them down.

The truth is, people ignore their feet until there’s a problem. But once it hits, it can impact how you walk, move, and live your day-to-day life.

If something feels off, don’t wait. Taking care of your feet means taking care of your whole body.

📍 Prioritize your foundation.

A lot of people still think bunion surgery means a large incision, crutches, a cast, and a long painful recovery. But minimally invasive bunion surgery has completely changed that.

At Advanced Foot Care, hallux valgus, also known as a bunion, can often be corrected through tiny portal incisions instead of a large open surgery. That means less pain, less scarring, less disruption to surrounding tissue, and in many cases patients are able to walk immediately after surgery.

This has truly been a game changer for patients looking for a more modern solution with a smoother recovery process.

If you’ve been living with bunion pain, come in for an evaluation to see whether minimally invasive bunion surgery could be the right option for you.

Think of your feet like the alignment of your car…

If your foundation is off, everything above it can start to feel it
Your knees, hips, back, even your neck can be affected

That’s why foot health isn’t just about your feet
It’s about your entire body and how you move through life

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is seeing a patient walk in with discomfort… and walk out feeling relief

When your feet feel good, your whole body feels better
You move more, you stay active, and your overall well-being improves

Don’t ignore your foundation
Take care of your feet

Big toe joint pain is no joke, especially when arthritis starts limiting movement and making every step uncomfortable. In this video, we’re treating a condition called hallux rigidus, which happens when the great toe joint develops arthritis and becomes painful when bending up and down.

To help reduce inflammation and pain, a carefully placed injection is used with a mixture of local anesthetic and steroid medication. While the needle may look intimidating, the goal is to help the patient get relief and improve comfort in that joint.

If you’ve been dealing with pain, stiffness, or swelling in your big toe joint, it may be time to get it checked out.

Robert is diabetic and had already gone through amputations and hammertoe issues, so saving his remaining toes was critical. With the right hammertoe procedure and proper care, he healed incredibly well and was back to work in just 2 to 3 weeks.

Stories like this are a powerful reminder that early treatment can make a huge difference, especially for diabetic patients dealing with toe deformities and pressure points. If you are noticing changes in your feet, do not wait to get evaluated.

Most people do not think about their feet until something goes wrong, but foot pain can affect everything from work to family time to even wearing the shoes you love.

Do not ignore the warning signs. Taking care of your feet now can help prevent bigger problems later. And if you do need help, Advanced Foot Care offers solutions with and without surgery. Call (516) 869-3300 or visit www.advancedfootcare.com

After dealing with multiple accidents and trying to manage the pain and balance issues alone, this patient finally found the right care and the right team. 🙌

She came to Advanced Foot Care for bunion surgery in December, followed by another procedure in February, and her recovery has been nothing short of amazing. What stood out most to her was not just the medical care, but the way she was treated every step of the way.

From the office staff to the surgery center, she felt seen, remembered, and genuinely cared for. That kind of experience matters. We’re so grateful for her trust and so excited for everything ahead, including getting back to running. 👟

If foot pain, bunions, or balance issues are affecting your life, don’t wait to get the guidance you need.

What is the number one thing you can do to help prevent foot injuries and pain syndromes?

One of the biggest things we talk to patients about, besides wearing the right footwear, is calf stretching.

Tight calves can quietly contribute to a long list of foot problems, including issues involving bones, tendons, and ligaments. When the calf is tight and the ankle cannot move properly, the foot has to compensate, and that extra stress can overload certain areas over time.

Most people wake up and stretch their back, shoulders, or arms, but rarely think about stretching the lower extremities. Just a little calf stretching each day, especially before a workout, can go a long way in helping prevent injuries down the road.

If your feet have been bothering you, it may be time to look higher up the chain.

Not all heels are the enemy. 👠

While really narrow, pointy high heels can definitely create problems for your feet, some shoes with a little heel, like a block heel or platform, can actually be more supportive and beneficial for certain foot conditions.

The key is finding the right shape, width, and support for your feet. If you’re unsure whether your shoes are helping or hurting, bring them in and we’ll gladly take a look with you.
