My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

The last several weeks have been very emotional for me, because I knew this week would soon arrive. This is my last week with “This Hope” Counseling.

From day one, I was immediately touched by the care and compassion that so many of you have for the people of this community. This was evident in the various ministries of Woodbury Church of Christ, as well as in ministries of other churches and other various groups in the community. I was blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of a few of these groups – “This Hope” Counseling, the Cannon County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, Cannon County Christians United, and We Care Cannon, to name a few. You all are an inspiration to me and to many, and I pray that you continue in the good work you are doing for the glory of God!

Also, I want to thank the leadership at Woodbury Church of Christ for allowing me to be a part of this community and join you in the work you are doing. There will always be a special place in my heart for Cannon County!

As I wrap up my time here, I will be praying for all of you that God pours out his blessings on this community such that you cannot contain all the blessings. And I want to thank you all for such an amazing four years here!

Take care and blessings to each of you!

In Christ,
Suzanne

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35). This Scripture passage was the inspiration for a couple of the lines in the Christmas song, “O Holy Night.” The lines are “Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and his gospel is peace.” As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, “This Hope” Counseling would like to wish everyone a Christmas filled with love, joy, and peace. He is Emmanuel, “God with us,” and He is love!
