Compounding can increase therapeutic outcomes and compliance by: improving the taste of the medication, providing the most direct route of administration, avoiding dyes and preservatives and other inactive ingredients patients may be allergic to. Compounding can provide patients with unique dosage forms that are not commerically available. We use many different formulas to accomodate all of our patients, based on their needs, allergies and preferences. Patients that may benefit from compounded medications include humans of all ages and many different species of animals. Our goal has always been to help keep patients healthy. Joseph Navarra, owner and pharmacist, has over 22 years of compounding experience and started customized compounding in 1994 to help with the then growing need for pediatric dosage forms of HIV medication. Our unique range of service then began to grow to meet the immediate and on-going needs of both the patient, caregiver and prescriber. To properly serve the needs of our patients that require our compounding specialty we have now opened Town Total Compounding Center. Here, we are a compounding only pharmacy so we can better serve you. We do sterile and non-sterile compounding in many odasage forms. You will not find many pharmacies that concentrate on only compounding and even fewer that do compounding in sterile and non-sterile dosage forms. We are PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) and IACP (International Academy of Compounding Pharmacist) and PSSNY (Pharmacists Society of the State of New York) members, and keep up to date on all new techniques and regulations that can help our patients.
