On this day in 2001 most everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when we were attacked. It has been a long time since that day but no one will ever forget. I am privileged and blessed to be surrounded by some of the best people in the world right here in our own county. No matter what part you are in there is always someone willing to help no matter the consequences or outcome of the situation. I am proud and humbled daily by the willingness of others to help in a time of need and for the support given freely by those that live here. Thank you to everyone for being the reason 9/11 will always be remembered. No one was any braver or hurt any more than most anyone else on that day. To the families of those that lost loved ones that day you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Chief

It is with a deep sadness that we share the passing of member 866 Walter C. (Chuck) Holt. Chuck began at Cannon County VFD (which would later become the Mooretown station) in 1989. He was a former Chief and held various other positions over the years as well. Chuck passed away a member in good standing with 34 years of service. His knowledge and desire to help was a great asset to the citizens of not only our community but the whole county. Our prayers are with the Holt family at this time. We are set up at the firehall to help Short Mountain with their bike ride fundraiser.
We have snow cones, popcorn, challenge coins, bottled water, t-shirts, and a few hats.

Saturday morning our plan is to have a few extra Boston butts ready to pick up at the ham breakfast Saturday morning.

Also, don’t forget to come eat breakfast at Cannon South ( Woodland) with us Saturday morning 6-10. We will have the famous chocolate gravy.
