Our Story
Janaki Pierson, co-founder and director of WMYC, has been practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for over 40 years. WMYC offers day and evening classes in hatha yoga, and meditation in a serene, wooded setting. Free informational programs are offered every Sunday evening.
A federally recognized non-profit educational institution under section 501(c)(3) of federal statute, we welcome everybody, regardless of financial resources, to access the healing and uplifting benefits of the ancient science of yoga and meditation.
We welcome veterans, active duty military, first responders, cancer patients, survivors and caretakers - we offer full and partial scholarships.
