After 33 years of caring for children and families, Dr. Ann Van Heest held her final pediatric hand surgery clinic at Shriners Children’s Twin Cities today.

Dr. Van Heest’s journey with Shriners Children’s began during her pediatric orthopedics rotation as an orthopedic surgery resident at the University of Minnesota, an experience she credits with inspiring her career in pediatric hand surgery. She joined our team in 1993 and went on to make a lasting impact through her compassionate care, surgical expertise, and mentorship of countless residents and fellows.

As she retires from clinical practice, we thank Dr. Van Heest for her extraordinary dedication and wish her the very best in retirement.

Check out these tips to keep your tree in tip top shape:
🎄 Give your tree a fresh cut so it will absorb water.
🎄 Water trees daily so the tree stand is filled with water at all times.
🎄 Keep trees at least 3 feet away from heaters and flames.
