Our friends at Shriners Children's Erie shared some great information that we think you could use too!

Baby Brynlee was diagnosed with torticollis and through a thorough evaluation and our whole-child approach to care, our providers also identified asymptomatic hip dysplasia. Thanks to early detection, collaborative care and personalized treatment and therapy, Brynlee is now thriving. đź’™

Her mom, Makayla, learned that torticollis and hip dysplasia are linked conditions that develop before birth. Because of this connection, babies diagnosed with torticollis are also screened for hip dysplasia using a hip ultrasound, helping ensure concerns are caught early and treated promptly.

💬 “The team at Shriners Children’s Erie calmed our fears, educated us and supported us every step of the way."
- Makayla, Brynlee's mother

Did you know...nearly 30 million kids and teens in the U.S. play organized sports AND more than 3.5 million sports injuries happen each year.

In fact, almost one-third of all childhood injuries are sports-related!

If your child gets hurt while playing or is struggling with aches and pains, our sports medicine team is here to help!

Our team is led by Dr. Pamela Lang, who is one of only four surgeons across 10 states in the Midwest who has a primary focus in pediatric orthopedic sports medicine. She’s also one of only two surgeons in the region with dual fellowships in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics, making her uniquely qualified to treat pediatric sports injuries.

Flat spots on a baby’s head are more common than many parents realize and early care can make a big difference. 💖

At Shriners Children’s Twin Cities, we offer individualized care plans that may include physical therapy or a cranial remolding helmet. Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) provide custom-fit helmets to gently support healthy head growth.

If you’ve noticed head flattening or your baby favors one side, our POPS orthotic specialists are here to provide a comprehensive evaluation and personalized helmet care, helping your child grow comfortably and confidently.

Our "Spring-like" weather was fun while it lasted! Our buddy Levi found several opportunities to ride his new adaptive bike (or his "motorcycle" as he lovingly refers to it)! Nothing better than the pure joy on a kiddo's face while riding their bike!

Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational starts tomorrow! We're SO excited to have Kinley attend as one of five patient ambassadors to represent the Twin Cities area! Despite being born with severe bilateral clubfoot and going through years of treatment for it, Kinley is an active softball player herself!

Good luck to all of the teams involved!

This kind of math isn’t scary—it’s BOO-tiful!
Spirit Halloween's Spirit of Children program donated $73,751 to our Child Life department from the 2025 season!
That brings their total giving since 2009 to $969,902 over 16 years.
We're setting our sights on the 2026 season to help Spirit Halloween raise enough to break $1 MILLION in giving. Let’s make it a treat, not a trick!
