Independent Living residents enjoyed a fantastic time at our Happy Hour Game Room!
After such a great experience, we decided to bring happy hour right to our own game room—and it was a hit. Residents gathered to play cards, participate in shuffleboard and Scrabble tournaments, and socialize while enjoying a refreshing glass of beer or wine. Others enjoyed watching the Masters while listening to their favorite music.
Due to the overwhelming positive response, this event will now be held every other week beginning in May and is expected to become one of our most popular resident favorites. We look forward to seeing even more familiar and new faces at our next Happy Hour Game Room event!

The Gateway High School musical was truly delightful. The home economics class went above and beyond by preparing a beautiful continental breakfast for our assisted living residents before the performance, which made the experience even more special. Each year, we eagerly anticipate this preview, and the talent continues to impress us more and more.

From the creative set design to the lively dance choreography and outstanding vocal performances, every aspect of the production was exceptional. This year’s performance of Mean Girls was absolutely wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

This popular class continues to grow each month, and participants truly enjoyed seeing their creativity come to life. Easter & Passover Events at our Assisted Living
Residents recently came together for a joyful intergenerational celebration of Easter and Passover, partnering with local elementary school children for a lively afternoon of connection and fun. The event featured a traditional Easter egg hunt, games, and plenty of laughter shared across generations.

The residents also embraced holiday traditions with an egg decorating activity and a special “Taste of Passover” program. Celebrations Director Sue, alongside Independent Living resident Linda, prepared a delicious homemade matzo ball soup, which was warmly enjoyed by all who attended. The program beautifully highlighted the spirit of community, culture, and shared celebration.

Independent Living residents enjoyed a festive Phillies Opening Day party on Thursday, March 26th! Marc, our Director of Dining, put together a fantastic spread featuring classic ballpark favorites like hot dogs, Cracker Jacks, soft pretzels and ice cream sundaes—served in Phillies hats that residents got to keep as a fun souvenir.
The atmosphere was full of team spirit, great food, and even better company. To top it all off, the Phillies won, making it the perfect Opening Day celebration!

Our Independent Living residents had a wonderful time at this week’s Woodbury Mews Art Show. The talent on display was truly inspiring, with residents showcasing everything from vibrant acrylic paintings to beautifully crafted handmade suits. Their creativity filled the room and sparked so many great conversations.

A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to our Dining Director, Mark, for preparing an incredible spread that guests are still raving about. And a special shout‑out to our lead servers, Alice and Elea, whose warm hospitality helped make the event seamless and memorable.

Independent residents enjoyed a relaxing and creative afternoon at our latest ART Creations class. This month’s project featured an adorable bunny surrounded by spring flowers, and the results were as charming as the season itself.

The class continues to grow each month, with residents eagerly anticipating what the next session will bring. Their enthusiasm and talent make ART Creations one of our most beloved activities.

Happy Spring Equinox!
Residents got a kick out of the egg balancing trick today. We got a "pretty close" almost did its lol!
We also tried a new one which was balancing an angled broom. And~~~ voila! It worked!!!
Everyone had a good chuckle and most important, we are all looking forward to the Springtime weather!

Independent Living residents continued our St. Patrick’s Day theme this month with another wonderful visit from Stuart Liss and his Passports to the World program. Stuart delighted everyone with stunning photographs of Ireland while sharing stories about Irish traditions, culture, and the memorable places he explored during his travels.

This program is always a resident favorite, and it’s easy to see why—Stuart brings each destination to life in such an engaging and meaningful way. We’re already looking forward to his next Passports to the World adventure coming in April.
