We kicked off our new “Behind the Stove” cooking class at the Independent Living Community with a delicious celebration of Mardi Gras! Residents gathered to watch Marc prepare and cook classic Shrimp and Grits, bringing the flavors and spirit of New Orleans right into our community kitchen.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration — and of course, the tasty results! The class was filled with great food, laughter, and wonderful conversation.

We’re already looking forward to our next culinary adventure: making Irish Potatoes in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. It’s sure to be another festive and flavorful experience! 🍀

While the recent snowstorm and deep freeze may have delayed our recognition of Activity Professionals Month, it certainly didn’t dampen our appreciation for this incredible group.

We proudly celebrate their creativity, compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment. Day after day, they show up with energy and heart, bringing fun, laughter, engagement, and meaningful socialization to our Mews family.

This popular class continues to be a favorite and grows each month, bringing creativity, laughter, and beautiful artwork to life. The love bird paintings turned out amazing, and everyone enjoyed spending the afternoon expressing their artistic talents.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

What a truly wonderful afternoon we shared at our Valentine Social. The atmosphere was filled with love, laughter, and beautiful music as the infamous drummer, Greg Albert, played a lovely array of classic love songs. Residents and guests enjoyed a signature drink and sweet cookies while celebrating together.

A very special congratulations to two of our newest residents, Connie and Manny, who were crowned our King & Queen of Hearts! An incredible 72 years of marriage — what an inspiring testament to love and commitment.

We were also honored to celebrate other remarkable couples in attendance:

Linda and Fred – married 52 wonderful years

Jack and Pat – celebrating 67 years together

It was an afternoon full of cherished memories, lasting love, and heartfelt moments. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this Valentine’s celebration so special! 💕

The children from the Pure Land Buddhist Association treated our residents to a wonderful variety show in celebration of the Chinese New Year!

The program was filled with talent and heart. Some of the children sang beautiful songs, others showcased impressive martial arts performances, and a few delivered a moving reading of The Gettysburg Address in honor of Presidents Day. To make the day even more special, they brought thoughtful gifts for all of our residents.

We were truly honored that they chose our community to share their time and talents. The joy on everyone’s faces said it all! We are hopeful this will become an annual tradition and are excited about the possibility of partnering together on more cultural programs with the children throughout the year.

What a meaningful and memorable celebration for all!

Our Independent Living residents at Woodbury Mews enjoyed another wonderful Horticulture Day with Rochelle! 🌸

This month, they created beautiful flower bouquets using wooden and silk flowers, perfect for displaying in their apartments and brightening their spaces all season long. The creativity and joy in the room were truly in full bloom!

Super Bowl Sunday 2026 was a touchdown at The Mews!
Residents had a fantastic time cheering on their favorite teams while enjoying delicious game night favorites. The chicken wings were a huge hit, and the room was filled with awesome energy from start to finish. Between the funny commercials and exciting raffle ticket winnings, there was plenty of fun to go around!
