✨ BREECH BIRTH ✨

I love breech birth—the little dropped foots, the surprise bums spewing that first p**p, all of it. Most physiologic breech births happen with little or no intervention.

Hands off until hands on, and if hands on, then this one came down to Alabama and graciously taught us all the moves.

Bonus: It was a super gift that all the babies stayed in utero, and I got to learn alongside my friends

Despite the challenges posed by covid-19, we have innovated and created new ways to teach our vaginal breech workshops. We are able to teach breech safely thanks to our new hybrid format: breechwithoutborders.org/hybrid.

We are currently booking hybrid workshops for 2021. From April-November, Dr. Hayes will be available to teach in North America, while Dr. Freeze will lead European workshops. In November & December, we hope to bring both Drs. Freeze & Hayes to Australia, New Zealand, and other areas in Oceania if demand is sufficient.

(Note: we are willing to travel beyond those geographic areas, covid-19 permitting.)

To make a hybrid workshop happen in your location, we will need at least 10 people enrolled (for North America & Europe; more for Australia/NZ as travel costs are higher). As the organizer, you will get 50% off your registration once 10 people enroll. Once 20+ people enroll, you will receive a free ticket and a helper of your choice will receive 50% off their ticket.

Yet another empathic, skilled, kind doctor who spent his life supporting and empowering women and fighting the patriarchic, authoritarian system of birth that seeks to control them and the entire culture of birth they fear has been forced out of this good work. It's sad not just for Brad, but for all the thousands of women who were supported and empowered by his practice and the many thousands yet to come you will find their choices ridiculed and ignored. We can't do it. We doctors, individually are pressured and surrounded and isolated and removed from doing this good work, while doctors that harass and bully and fear monger and force women in their care to bend to the will of the system are protected and promoted as saviors when in fact they are destroyers.
If women don't wake up and join the fight, not just when they are pregnant and it's too late, but all the time until they control what happens to them, they will turn around to find they have no choices left at all.
