SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!! We are incredibly honored to announce Congressman Adam Smith as a Guest of Honor at Washington’s First Teen-Led Mental Health Summit on March 21st!

Rep. Smith represents Washington’s 9th Congressional District and has built his career on home-grown leadership and public service. Raised in SeaTac, WA, in a union household, Smith worked his way through college before earning his law degree from the University of Washington. He began his career as a prosecutor in Seattle focusing on DUI and domestic violence cases, later serving as a judge pro tempore. At just 25 years old, he became the youngest State Senator in the country after defeating a 16-year incumbent. Known for his thoughtful, pragmatic approach, he later brought that leadership to Congress. In Congress, Smith serves as Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee and has been a leading voice on national security, military oversight, and foreign assistance reform. He has advocated for strengthening American diplomacy alongside defense, comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship, and expanding economic opportunity through education, infrastructure, and tax reform. He also co-founded the bipartisan Congressional Caucus for Effective Foreign Assistance (CCEFA) to improve U.S. development and diplomacy efforts. Beyond his public service, Smith remains active in his community alongside his wife, Sara, and their two children.
