Weekends are always a challenge for sticking to our weight loss goals. But fear not! Create a realistic plan going into your weekend. Biggest difference between weekdays and weekends is not having a routine, so create one. Don't forget to schedule down time, time for movement that feels good in your body, meals that are nutritious and supportive, along with plans for a weekend indulgence. Balance is key to living a healthy life. Cheers to a fun and fit weekend! 💪

Who says dieting has to be boring?
You can still enjoy your favorite foods 🍔🍕🍟 while staying on track with your goals! Everything in moderation, adjust your weekly calories to plan one night a week for your favorite meal. Allow 10-20% of your daily calories for a daily treat. Your diet shouldn't suck!
This is also a fun way to get creative with healthier alternatives. 💡Love burgers and fries? Why not try making burgers at home? Bake or air fry some fries at home. Love ordering out pizza, plan to have a frozen pizza during your week and the next week plan to go out for pizza. You'll be in control of portions and better idea of the calories but still get to plan in the pizza you love 🍠🍕 Trust me, your taste buds and waistline will thank you! THIS is how you make your plan livable and sustainable. 😉

Prioritize your health! No one can eat better for you, no one can move your body for you, no one can sleep for you or drink your water. Your health is the THE most important thing we have, so often we run ourselves into the ground and don't realize how we take it for granted until it's too late. Make time for self-care, whether it's a workout, a nutritious meal, or some much-needed rest. Your well-being should always be a top priority.

Do you eat one way when you are "dieting" and then another when you aren't? Are you struggling to fit your favorite foods into your diet plan? Don't worry, you're not alone! 🍔🍟🍕 Here's a fun tip: try eating them in moderation instead of all at once. Trust me, the cycle you are in of restricting or abstaining from them because when you do have it you feel almost out of control. Which only solidifies in your mind that you need to abstain and limit it even more. I promise you, its a self-serving cycle. Right now your brain only knows how to overeat those foods, when you start to eat the foods you love on a regular basis, you are retraining your brain how to eat a normal serving and not over indulge. We need to bridge the gap between ON and OFF your diet plan. Learning how to eat the foods you love in a sustainable way. Your brain, body, taste buds will thank you! 🙌 So go ahead, plan in that slice of pizza or that scoop of ice cream, and the more frequently you practice the better you will get at it. 😜

When life turns up the stress, do you find it harder to resist your favorite foods?

When you are tired or just downright exhausted, are you finding yourself in the kitchen searching for something to eat before you even realize what’s happening? 🙋🏼‍♀️Honestly I could be half way through whatever is in my hand before it dawns on me that I’m not even hungry and wondering what I am doing?

Do you identify as an emotional eater?
I didn’t, actually when people would tell me, “you eat to escape/deal with your emotions” that didn’t resonate with me. I didn’t have any conscious thoughts, I just knew that when I was stressed or tired I wanted to eat junk, I wasn’t consciously seeking out a feeling. And typically I felt worse after I ate so I didn’t understand the connection.

If any of the above sounds remotely familiar to you, READ THIS ARTICLE!!!!

It will tell you to do the complete opposite of what you have and think you should be doing. It’ll feel like you shouldn’t do that! But you know what, it’s EXACTLY what you need to do. What you’ve done before has given you the results you currently have, you have to do the antithesis of what you’ve done. Promise, give it a try and see what happens, I mean what do you have to lose, what you are currently doing isn’t working.

“Strategy #1: Go ahead and overeat” 😱
“Strategy #2: Create a nourishment menu” It’s not what you think!!
“Strategy #3: Take a self compassionate approach for a change!” 🙋🏼‍♀️ guilty as charged.

Read this article, try it out and message me back. I’d love to hear your experience.
