“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”

In this case, it is the end of our beloved Mia’s run as the leader and heart and soul of The Optik. Mia has been with the company for NINE successful years and is transitioning into a new and exciting career in UX design. We know that many of you have built a very close working relationship with Mia, and will miss seeing her smiling face at the office every year. We will too! But we are so proud of you and we thank you for everything you have done! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Optik Patients, Welcome to your new home! We are now located at 14154 NE Woodinville Duvall Rd in the Woodinville Towne Center next to the Dollar Tree and Value Village. Construction should be complete in late Summer/early Fall.

While we are under construction we will still be seeing patients at our sister office: Comfort Vision 1912 201st Pl SE, Suite 204, Bothell, WA. If you would like to book an appointment or have any questions please give our office a call or text (tel:4254852600)! We will be doing coordinated pickups for eyewear and contact lens orders in upon request!

This will be our last week of patient care at our current location in Woodinville. Don't worry we are moving close by, just up the street in the Woodinville Towne Center near the Value Village!

Stay tuned for updates on specific details on our new location & construction progress. In the meantime, if you need an appointment we have reserved appointment slots for our Optik patients at our sister location Comfort Vision in Bothell.

We want to thank the Woodinville community for welcoming our small business with open arms 10 years ago. When the news came to us that we had to move, we thought long and hard about whether or not to continue our stay in Woodinville. Your continued loyalty, support and patronage made the decision to stay easy. Our goal everyday is to figure out ways to make you, our patient’s lives just a tiny bit better. We hope you felt those positive vibes over the years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Onward towards our next chapter.

Surprise! Dr. Tam swung by the office today. She moved to sunny San Diego last year to be closer to family. Lucky them! Life update: She’s currently settled in and working at community clinic serving patients in need. Thanks for stopping by to say hi (and for the homemade cinnamon rolls 🤤). We miss you!

To our Optik Extended Family,

Hi! We’re the staff of The Optik Vision Center and we love our long-time coworker and friend, Felecia Freeman! Felecia has been with us for 10 years, sharing her wisdom and joy as we’ve grown our small business from the ground up. Throughout the years, Felecia has given her time and energy to help us thrive.

For all that Felecia has done for us, we would like your help in extending that same warmth and kindness back to her. In the last year, Felecia has experienced heartbreaking hardship: the loss of her partner in Fall 2019, her son in Winter of 2020, her mother in Fall of 2020, and her best friend in early 2021. These losses have taken a toll on her mental and physical health, impacting her ability to cope day-to-day. Felecia has struggled to seek support and community during this already difficult and isolating time of COVID-19. On top of all this, Felecia has inherited debt from medical bills and funeral costs that have made a difficult situation even worse.

We have put together this GoFundMe to help relieve Felecia of some of her debt, allowing her to take the time she needs to rest, recover and seek support. Felecia is a beloved member of our work family and we are grateful for your help in showing her how much we care.
