This is a virtue-signaling terrible product. It focuses on having 3 grams of sugar - but the ingredients are terrible. All the ingredients belong in an auto-parts store not a grocery store. You’re better off with real candy from Trader Joe’s.

Such a great article on weighing the different factors about eating meat/chicken. It’s not preachy and does a great job discussing the ethics of deciding. TL/DR— eat less beef, chicken is better for the environment than beef but the industrial-chicken-complex is awful. Eat vegetarian a bit more often to solve both issues.

Plus, why climate hawks should heed the Chick-Fil-A cows and eat more chicken.

(best tongs.. lock for easy storage)

These are now my go-to fave cupcake liners. You don't have to use (clean) a muffin tin. Just put a sheet of parchment on a regular cookie sheet and use these liners. They come in many colors but I like the plain natural and white, which I can't find except on Cupcake Creations' website

I have been baking so much lately, and I am using many sizes of the Reynolds disposable nonstick pans. Target has them as well-- I use the 9x13 and this square size often

Clean your microwave with Angry Mama-- it works-- really!

This one is pricey-- it is an amazing hand mixer, creams butter and sugar together close to how my kitchenaid stand mixer can do it. If you don't want to spend $$ on a stand mixer/have limited space/want a great hand mixer, this is a good investment

Tipless piping bags--easy to cut the tip off and pipe frosting, or you can put a metal piping tip in. Sturdy and easy.

I’ve been marathon baking lately ! Back to sourdough, tried eclairs and much more. Thanks to Orna OrnaBakes.com for turning me onto Joanne Chang’s amazing book Flour. It’s an amazing book for more advanced bakers — weighing ingredients is a must.

Easy yummy apple 🍎 cinnamon muffins!

I adapted these from Entertaining with Beth (a different Beth!)

Makes 12 muffins

Ingredients:
2 eggs
Half cup (90 g) brown sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil (I used organic
canola)
2/3 cup water

1 3/4 cup (210 g) flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup diced peeled apples (I used one large Envy 🍎)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and put muffin liners into your muffin tray.

Whisk together the “wet” ingredients— eggs, sugar, oil and water— in a large bowl.

In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the “dry” — flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Add the dry to the large bowl of wet ingredients and gently combine.

Fold in the apples.

Use a scoop to fill each muffin tin about 3/4 of the way.

Bake 20-25 minutes until light golden.

Yum ! Great for breakfast, to add to lunchbox, or for an after-school snack.

Cold brew tea to make iced tea

Chili lime mayo

Greek Chickpeas with Parsley & Cumin (update I tried and are yummy)

Prosecco Rosé

Grainless Granola

I saw this product on my Twitter feed and investigated it. This kids’ Creative Roots drink boasts one gram of sugar. It has stevia and “natural flavors” (these can be numerous and don’t have to be listed individually).

My verdict — skip, don’t buy.

Drink water. If they want more flavor, add a bit of juice.

Total marketing scam. In general, kids don’t need artificial sweeteners or non-nutritive sweeteners.
