www.recoverhealbloom for TRAUMA UNLOCKED Course & Free Guide: 4 Ways to calm your nervous system Maybe you’re feeling trapped in addiction or are anxiety and depression ruling your life? Is unhealed trauma blocking you from living a fulfilled life? Are you looking to create a new life filled with confidence, clarity and hope? I can help you. It takes courage to ask for help and could be what changes your life in a powerful and liberating way. You just want to experience freedom, but don’t know how to get there. My focus is finding clarity about who you are. Together, we’ll build up your coping skills, resiliency and self-worth so that you are living in a place of empowerment, compassion and hope. You will receive quality psychological care that is empathetic and competent. The only criteria is a desire to create change and a willingness to try. In my practice, I specialize in Trauma, Addiction and Self Esteem issues utilizing various modalities including EMDR, Trauma-focused and Client Centered. Through exploring how our past affects our present, and looking at the patterns we tend to repeat, one can gain a sense of empowerment, and control of the here and now. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and value that is the basis for the work we do. I have over fourteen years of experience working in residential treatment, outpatient treatment, transitional living, sober livings, homeless shelters, and counseling centers. I have helped hundreds of clients, first starting out at Tarzana Treatment Center, Malibu Life Recovery Center, Renaissance Malibu, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, San Fernando Valley Counseling Center and in recent years at The Villa Treatment Center. Obtained my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena specializing in Trauma. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT #188720) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Prior to getting my Master’s, I was certified with the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators as a CATC III. In addition, I am a CERTIFIED EMDR therapist through EMDRIA. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. It rewires the brain establishing new adaptive neural pathways which help people become unstuck and move forward in their lives. Starting therapy takes courage, and I honor your decision to start by reaching out to me.

After many years in this space, I’m officially moving out of THIS therapy office.Excited for my NEW even more gorgeous office down the street, but wow… it really is the end of an era.Thank you to every client who shared their heart, soul, tears, laughter, and truth in this room. These four walls have held so many powerful stories, and I’ve been honored to witness every single one. It’s wild how a space can become SO sacred. This beautiful office saw a lot of healing, a lot of growth, and let’s be honest, sooooooo many emotional breakthroughs!!!!.I’m moving forward with so much gratitude for everything this space held. TOMORROW I MOVE INTO MY NEW OFFICE!!!!

The Trevor Project was issued a stop-work order by the Trump administration, cutting off their partnership with the national 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. As of now, LGBTQ+ callers can no longer press 3 to speak with counselors specifically trained in LGBTQ+ mental health.

This is disgusting and dangerous. LGBTQ+ youth already face significantly higher rates of suicidal thoughts—and when they reach out for help, they need to speak to someone who understands the unique challenges they’re facing: rejection, discrimination, identity trauma, and more. General crisis support isn’t enough.

If you know someone who may need help, please share this direct link to The Trevor Project’s support services:

Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is step away.

This image says it all—when we remove ourselves from chaos, conflict, or codependency, we interrupt the cycle. We protect our peace. We reclaim our power.

As a trauma therapist, I see this moment every day in clients: when they finally recognize they don’t have to stay in the fire.

Boundaries are not walls. They are exits.

It’s wild how one day can feel like a total disaster—and the next, everything clicks.

Yesterday, I had quite possibly one of my worst rides in a long time. Nothing was flowing, I felt off, and every fence felt like a struggle. I left feeling frustrated and defeated.

But today? I got back on the same horse… my Z, jumped the same exact fences, and had an amazing ride.

The difference wasn’t in the course—it was in me. My amazingly horse trainer, my mindset, my energy, my willingness to shake off the hard day and try again.

It reminded me just how quickly things can shift when we don’t give up. Life has a funny way of humbling us and lifting us, sometimes within 24 hours.

So if you’re having a hard day—hang in there. Tomorrow might surprise you.

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” – Mary Anne Radmacher

Gratitude Reflections – 18 Years Sober

Eighteen years ago, I began a journey that profoundly changed my life—one rooted in recovery, resilience, and growth. Sobriety has been the greatest gift, grounding me through both joyful moments and life’s deepest challenges. It’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years without any substances, and I’m continually amazed by how transformative this path has been.

My recovery isn’t just a personal milestone—it’s the foundation of how I show up as a therapist. The lessons I’ve learned in sobriety have shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the human capacity for change. Recovery taught me that healing isn’t linear, that progress often comes with discomfort, and that true growth happens when we face our pain with courage and compassion.

I’m deeply grateful for the mentors, sponsors, and peers who’ve walked alongside me. Their guidance showed me the power of authentic connection and the importance of being seen, heard, and supported—principles that are at the heart of my therapeutic work. These experiences remind me that healing is never a solitary process; it’s nurtured through relationships where we feel safe enough to be vulnerable.

The people who guided me with love and service demonstrated what it means to live with purpose and integrity. Their wisdom didn’t just change my life—it shaped how I hold space for others. As a therapist, I carry the lessons of empathy, accountability, and hope into every session, knowing firsthand that even in our darkest moments, healing is possible.

Lastly, I’m profoundly grateful for the opportunity to do this work. To support individuals in their healing process, to witness their growth, and to hold space for their transformation is an honor. If you’re navigating your own journey, know that you’re not alone. Whether you’re seeking hope, recovery, or a life beyond what feels possible right now, I’m here to walk alongside you.

THANK YOU to everyone who has stepped up during this crisis. Los Angeles has faced incredible challenges, and the outpouring of support has been truly inspiring.

Volunteers have provided food, shelter, and emotional support to evacuees. Firefighters from Northern California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Canada, and Mexico have joined forces, sending crews and resources to protect our communities. Their bravery and dedication remind us of the power of unity and compassion.

The therapist community has also been incredible, with many colleagues offering free crisis sessions, support groups, and resources to those in need. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by such a generous and caring network.

Horse owners and animal lovers have come together to evacuate animals, ensuring their safety when it matters most. Rescue teams, volunteers, and neighbors have shown courage and compassion every step of the way.

This city’s strength lies in its people—and in those who come from afar to help. Together, we prove that kindness and unity will always prevail.

If you need therapeutic support during this time, I’m happy to help or connect you with resources. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

THANK YOU again to everyone making a difference. Los Angeles always rises because of people like you.
