🎉Free Training Alert!

On request, Youth Mental Health First Aid is being offered in Teller County! It is free to all, with lunch included. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people.

When: Saturday, June 7
Time: 9:00- 4:30pm

The Teller County Behavioral Health Alliance is holding its 3rd annual Su***de Awareness Symposium on March 7th, 2025 at the Woodland Park Community Church. The importance of this symposium is two-fold: to strengthen connections and reduce isolation in the community. Reducing isolation promotes resiliency, increases our sense of belonging, strengthens our sense of identity, and provides access to larger sources of support.

The Colorado State University (CSU) Prevention Research Center is gathering information to better understand youth
prevention needs in the Teller County communities to implement a behavior change campaign and social norming activities.

Input from local youth is needed to help to create a locally tailored version of the Connect Effect youth fentanyl awareness campaign and social norming efforts.
