Pride is sneaky. 𤍠It shows up when we think weâve got thisâit thinks that we donât need God, that we can do it on our own, and that itâs up to us to control the situation. Can anyone out there relate?! If weâre being honest with ourselves, we all deal with pride, but the opposite of pride is humility. Humility exalts God above ourselves and invites His power and ability into the situation. â¨
It seems that the more I renew my mind with Scripture, the more I see how much I need a Savior. đI recognize more every day that I have not arrived at godliness or perfection, but how easy it is for my thoughts, actions, and emotions to revert back to pride. đŠTherefore, Iâm under the impression that getting rid of pride in this lifetime is impossible, but rather a journey. đĽžđâď¸
If youâve been stuck in a cycle of frustration, stress, or striving, it might be time to ask: Am I truly trusting God, and exalting Him in my life? Remember, life doesnât have to be difficult. Godâs grace is available to help us live a life of freedomâof life more abundantly. âď¸ Jhn 10:10
đâBut he gives more grace. Therefore it says, âGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.ââ (James 4:6)
