ICYMI: Big news for food allergy safety in New York! A first-in-the-nation law will require Top 9 allergen disclosure on pre-packaged foods sold at delis, bakeries, ice cream parlors & food trucks. Grabbing a sandwich, salad, or cookie on-the-go will now come with the ingredient transparency forfood allergy families. Huge credit to teen advocate Jared Saiontz, Senator Pete Harckham, and NY Assemblymember Jen Lunsford for making this law happen. Read full report for details:

What a wonderful day to have the OM (original manager) and my good friend Christina back at the office. In Feb 2012 we opened the doors to the office with zero patients and in those first years we started growing it - and Christina grew her family when she married Ronnie and became pregnant with Lorenzo. Such a beautiful treat to have her whole family visit the office today. Beautiful. Rays of sunshine in my day ❤️👏🏻🙏🏻

18 mos ago a patient had anaphylaxis to a new fruit on Rosh Hashana , a jack fruit. Anxious about possible other fruit allergy we skin prick tested to all concerned items. Jack Fruit positive and largest reaction. Other fruits led to oral allergy symptoms only.

Sesame by law now must be labeled if included in ingredients. Warning - may take 3-6 mos for old food items to be off shelves and new labeled items to reach supermarkets.
