I finally went to for a 60-minute Japanese Head Spa treatment. I cannot say enough how truly amazing this experience was. Tracey took her time massaging, treating and caring for me and it’s been a long time since I’ve had a service where I truly let myself relax and be in the moment. Go treat yourself to some incredible self care- I cannot recommend this experience enough!

I’m 4 weeks in on my inaugural holiday food drive and I just have to GUUUSH about how well it’s going. With 3 weeks left to go, I’m thrilled to report that I’ve brought in *at least* $635 worth of donations!! I’ve asterisk’d there because I know many have exceeded the $20 minimum… and I don’t care to confirm that value per donation.

It’s also been great to hear so many get excited about this mini project. It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season as we FA LA LA to the end of the year. If you are blessed with excess, it’s important to give back- even if it’s just a couple of bucks. And man does it feel good!

I was asked to be a guest speaker at SOHMAR, the massage school I attended almost 18 years ago. The students are currently learning about business and I was tasked with talking about my experience as a business owner.

I created a presentation titled “10 steps to opening a massage business.” As I worked through the list, the information is detailed and so nuanced at times— I could feel that I was losing some of the students. But then I was hit with a wave of pride!

When you’re in the thick of starting & building a business, there’s so much to learn & implement as well as sacrifice, fail at and muster the strength to begin again. Looking back at 10 years of Sarassage, I am reminded how much I went through to start a business and how many people will never truly understand it. I would be remiss to not share how great it feels to prove naysayers wrong! As someone who struggles with imposter syndrome, this presentation (that *I* was asked to write!) reminded me how much I have achieved and how proud I should feel!

Thank you for the invitation Michael Mcaleese! My spirit needed it.

Please read my updated Cancellation Policy:
I ask that you respectfully give a 48 hour notice of cancellation.
I accept cancellations via phone call, voicemail or text message to: (331) 444 – 2884; or via email to sarah@sarassage.com. Please specify who you are!

Cancellation within 48 hours of an appointment or a no show results in a fee of 50% of the scheduled session’s price for the first offense and 100% of the scheduled session's price thereafter. If you are in the middle of a package, you will receive one free pass. All subsequent missed appointments will result in the deduction of one credit from remaining packaged sessions. If I’m able to fill the slot, there will be no charge. Fees for missed appointments must be paid before another appointment can be scheduled.

If frequent rescheduling becomes a pattern, rearranging schedules is challenging and time-consuming to manage. If your schedule does not allow for pre-planned appointments, and cancellations and rescheduling requests happen regularly, future bookings will not be accepted.

I understand emergencies and illnesses occur. If you have a fever, have been in the hospital, or a systemic infection begins a couple of hours prior to your scheduled session, please cancel to protect yourself, myself and other clients. If your children are ill and need you at home, please cancel. If there is severe weather, please do not travel if you feel it puts you in danger. There will be no charge for these types of cancellations.

5. The intricacies of what’s in it for you. – Time teaches us that we keep nothing in this life until we first give it away. This is true of knowledge, forgiveness, service, love, tolerance, acceptance, and so forth. You have to give to receive. Such a simple point, and yet it’s so easy to forget that the giving of ourselves, without a price tag, has to come FIRST! It’s the giving that opens us up to grace.

The older we grow, the quieter we become and the less drama we engage in. Life humbles us gradually as we age. We realize how much nonsense we've wasted time on.
