Today I got to be a model for the first-semester massage therapy students at NTC, and it honestly filled my heart. ❤️

It reminded me of my own early days with nervous hands, big dreams, and so much learning. Watching them step into their confidence gave me a fresh appreciation for this work and how far I’ve come.

I left feeling grateful, honored, and a little more rested than I expected. 😉

I’m filling in for the heated flow today at YogaShop and the sky this morning perfectly reflected the class! 🔥

We practice in the heat to help the body open more safely and deeply.

The warmth softens muscles, increases flexibility, and allows joints to move with more ease.

It supports circulation and helps the body release toxins through sweat.

The heat also builds focus.
It teaches us to stay present, to steady the breath, and to stay calm even when things get uncomfortable.

It’s a reminder that we can handle the challenge… not by fighting it, but by breathing through it.

A heated practice strengthens both body and mind. You’ll notice your endurance grow, your balance improve, and your ability to stay centered expand.

I’m filling in for the amazing Breia today and will be leading a flow at 9am at the yoga shop!

Today is not just a New Moon… it’s what’s called a Black Moon. A Black Moon happens when there are two New Moons in the same month, or an extra New Moon in a season. It’s rare. It’s powerful. It’s a cosmic reset button, inviting us to release what no longer serves and begin again.

Think of it like the darkest part of the night before the dawn. The sky is completely empty, but that emptiness is possibility. It’s the wide-open silence where something new can begin to stir.

The Black Moon carries extra energy. It asks us not only to set intentions, but to clear away everything that weighs us down… old habits, mental clutter, heavy emotions, even physical things we no longer need. It’s a decluttering of the mind, body and soul!

The universe telling you to make space, because something new is ready to grow. 🌕
