The Minocqua Antique & Classic Boat Show LLC will occur on June 17-18, 2022 on Lake Minocqua at Torpy Park. This annual event draws 60+ beautiful boats and 1000’s of spectators over the two (2) day event. The in-water and on-land boats include nostalgic wooden boats from the 40’s - 60’s, vintage fiberglass boats, as well as newer wooden boats. Don’t miss the boat parade Friday evening during the intermission of the Min-Aqua-Bat Water Ski Show. Food, beverages, and great music are featured in conjunction with the Minocqua Lions Club. Don’t miss the Friday Old Fashion Shore Lunch Fish Fry. The show starts on Friday, June 17 around noon and goes until 8PM. Saturday the show starts at 10AM and lasts until 8PM. Live music and full throttle fun are in store for captains and mates of all ages. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the boats, music, and fun.
Saturday music featuring Coyote Wild performs an eclectic mix of both classic and current rock and country. With their blend of talent and creativity, this band has a professional sound without losing the energy that audiences would expect from a performing rock band. Built around strong vocals and great harmonies, their set list is a diverse mix of classic rock and contemporary country, meaning there is something for everyone.
Their show is high energy, fast paced, but most of all it is FUN and is sure to inspire dancing, singing along, and simply having a good time! With the raw and gritty edge you would expect from a seasoned band, and a female front line that rocks the room with their intoxicating harmonies, and electrifying performance, this is the “Go-To” country rock band in the Midwest!

This past weekend, Dr. Gelinas spent his time training young residents at the Dean McGee Eye Institute on performing cataract surgery in 3rd world countries. Dr. Gelinas' longstanding relationship with SEE International and hands-on experience with small incision cataract surgery; through his many mission trips he's participated and lead in over the years, earned him this exclusive invitation and teaching opportunity. Dean McGee is in the top 10 of Ophthalmology Residency programs across the United States. It is an honor to have such a giving and talented physician on our team. Thank you for all you do Dr. Gelinas, for the Northwoods, and the world!

Dr. Jessamyn Kichak Kovacs has over 20 years of experience working with optometric patients. Prior to becoming an optometrist, Dr. Kichak Kovacs was an R.N. at Fond du Lac County's long-term care facility. Dr. Kichak Kovacs also has 10 years experience as an optician and optometric technician.

Born and raised in Mercer, Wisconsin, Dr. Kichak Kovacs completed her graduate studies at Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. Dr. Kichak Kovacs provides comprehensive eye care, including dry eye and glaucoma diagnosis and treatment as well as expertise in all types of contact lenses.

Dr. Jessamyn Kichak Kovacs and her husband, along with their two children, enjoy all the outdoor recreation the Northwoods has to offer.

Dr. Benjamin Redman was born and raised in Minocqua, Wisconsin and graduated from Lakeland Union High School. He received his BA degree from Beloit College in 2005.

Dr. Redman then completed four years of graduate training at Indiana University School of Optometry where he met his wife, Dr. Jill Redman. Together, they have 4 children.

Dr. Redman provides comprehensive eye care, including the diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders and diseases/injuries of the eyes.

Dr. Redman has special interest and training in all types of contact lenses. He joined his father, Dr. Kirby Redman, and Dr. Michel Gelinas at Redman Gelinas Eye Care in the summer of 2009.

MICHEL P. GELINAS, M.D.

Dr. Michel Gelinas completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Colorado and came to the Northwoods in 1998. In 2000 he, along with Dr. Kirby Redman, formed Redman Gelinas Eye Care.

Dr. Gelinas specializes in the latest techniques in cataract surgery and works with the new lens implant technology to decrease patients dependence on glasses. He also treats patients with eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes.

Dr. Gelinas is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has received recognition for his charitable work with the Lions Club International providing humanitarian services, including cataract surgery, to people in Wisconsin and abroad.

KIRBY D. REDMAN, O.D.

Dr. Kirby Redman has been providing eye care in the Lakeland area since 1980. In 2000, he, along with Dr. Michel Gelinas formed Redman Gelinas Eye Care.

Born in Columbia City, Indiana, Dr. Redman received his graduate training at Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Kirby Redman provides comprehensive eye care, and is certified to diagnose and treat diseases/injuries to the eye, including glaucoma and infections.

Dr. Redman has been active in the Minocqua Lions Club for over 35 years and is a recipient of the Birch-Sturm Fellowship award. He and his wife, Anne, have 3 children; Adam, Benjamin, and Amanda.
