Nelson Mandela – affectionately known as “Madiba”, his Xhosa clan name - fought against the racist apartheid system in his homeland, and for equality and freedom for all people.

Like him, human@ease promotes the notion that wellness and healing flourish in the supportive presence of others.

Some people will just never be motivated or interested to step foot into a gym. In contrast, home workouts can be just as effective for getting the exercise you need to bring your fitness level to an optimal state.

Whether you have formal exercise equipment or not, you can still accomplish a great workout with some everyday household items and a well-balanced routine.

If you have small children, you can even get them involved in movements by carefully and slowly lifting them up and down or even piggybacking them to sit and stand.

Try out some of these standard household items in your workout routine or join us every Monday and Thursday at 7pm EST to learn how to get a full body workout just using some of these items.

🧠We define mindfulness as: non-judgmental self-awareness. It has been shown that making an effort to bring non-judgmental self-awareness to our day improves mental clarity, boosts our sense of gratitude, and improves our ability to manifest desirable outcomes.

⏰️ Set a self-awareness alarm! This way, you build a routine of finding your inner calm, checking in with yourself non-judgmentally, and assessing where you're at, what you need, and where you're going. If you can make this a routine, you will do that much more to boost positive outcomes in your day-to-day life!

😫NO JOKE....GET TO KNOW THESE!!!

🥖There are sooo many food products on the market, and many of them are being branded as healthy. This is a disgrace and disservice to humanity given that many of the additives in foods have not been thoroughly researched or studied.

🧐There are some pretty scary chemical processes that go into producing these common additives, and it's wise to keep this information in perspective when choosing your products.

💨We’re already exposed to hundreds of chemical toxins every day in our air, water, and household products, so why risk overloading your system anymore than you have to.

👵👴ESPECIALLY given the fact that many of you have a choice as to what you consume. The food you eat literally becomes YOU by getting absorbed and metabolized by your cells; and this WILL have a direct impact on your health and aging process.

😫It's difficult to avoid these additives altogether,
BECAUSE THEY'RE IN PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING ...SHEESH!! But try reducing your exposure as much as possible.

🥕Get familiar with these potentially harmful additives and lean more towards whole foods with little to nothing added or taken away.

Without even knowing it's happening, the government and industry make up and influence many of our decisions.

Although both have done positive things for society, they also have made really bad decisions on our behalf, especially when it comes to our health.

Our grocery stores are predominately stocked with processed foods filled with additives; we're more medicated than ever before; we're sold narratives and mixed messages that keep us divided; and programs that keep individuals and communities reliant on them.

Our own food pyriamid put out by the USDA encourages us to eat mostly processed foods; and with diabetes and metabolic disorders at their highest, this obviously hasn't worked in our favor.

When the highest priority is profits, it's no wonder why our best interests become secondary.

But we keep buying what they're selling!

It's up to each one of us as individuals to take health and well-being into our own hands, and the best way to do that is to take preventative measures through proper nutrition. Each and every one of us has the ability to make even small improvements to our health and well-being! Sooo...

DO:
-Eat more fruits and vegetables (organic or locally grown when possible.

-Eat more healthy fats such as avocado, coconut oil, eggs, butter, wild salmon, and grass-fed beef

- Eat non-processed starches such as tubers, root vegetables, and rice grains.

-Drink water

DON'T:

-Eat conventional factory meat, eggs & dairy

-Eat most food items that come in a box and have ingredients you can't understand

-Eat sugary foods and drinks... especially artificial sugars

-Eat most wheat products touted as "heart healthy." (This is a marketing ploy, and today's wheat is not like grandma's wheat. )

👃Body memory is a hypothesis that the body is capable of storing memories.

🫂However, many energy practitioners and Eastern philosophies are convinced that trauma in our bodies is more than just an idea. Everything that happens to us emotionally or psychologically happens to our bodies as well.

🥶It's all connected -- and if you look at people who go into a fight, flight, or freeze response, you'll see the way that tension is held in their bodies.

💆‍♂️Stored trauma can also manifest as chronic pain because of stuck energy stored in the body. It's likely why you'll hear stories of people bursting into tears during a yoga class, a massage, or other physical exercises and body treatments.

😔If you think you may be holding on to some unresolved repressed trauma, or you are frequently in a state of fight or flight in your daily life, it may be worthwhile for you to start some type of regular body therapy; be it: exercise, acupuncture, massage, yoga, or other energy work. This can work great with talk therapy or even on its own.

🗣It's much easier to explode with anger when engaged in a dialogue that is triggering to you than to evaluate your current situation and think before you act.

🥵However, we all know that heated conversations usually just end up with nothing resolved and only expand the divide. Usually, arguments are a simple case of misinterpreting what the other is saying, which causes a loss of valuable productive dialogue and human compassion.

🧐When you are in control of your "re"-actions, you can evaluate situations better and see better solutions. This can only be done when you stop making what others say about YOU, when it is really their words, thoughts and feelings....which actually might hold value if you're willing to listen without taking it personally.

🚶‍♂️In order to do this, you have to step outside of your emotions for a moment to determine what's underneath your anger. Was there truth to what they said?; Were you just not able to articulate your side?; Were they outright wrong?. Either way, by taking a step back to communicate what you're feeling and need in that very moment can help you interpret your own emotions and better formulate your response once you've walked away or paused.

🙌🏽There is immense value in listening and inquiring to what is "underneath" what others say and also what is underneath your reactions to it. Pause, get curious, and change the conversation!
