Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? My social media went silent for nine months, and for that, I apologize. Life got incredibly overwhelming, as I embarked on the most challenging and transformative journey: I was pregnant! Now, I'm thrilled to introduce you to our beautiful baby girl Norah!

Stepping away wasn't a choice; it was a necessity. My second pregnancy brought severe, all-day morning sickness. Just getting out of bed felt impossible. Despite feeling awful, I pushed through to wrap up with my last clients before completely stepping back. I needed to focus on growing this little human, nourishing myself, and preparing for the biggest role of my life as a mother of two. It was tough, but I learned so much about my body's resilience and the power of truly listening to its needs.

Life's different now! Sleep is a luxury, my schedule is baby-led, and priorities have shifted beautifully. But I'm also recharged and ready to support you. This experience deepened my understanding of holistic well-being and the importance of self-care, even when it feels impossible. True health nurtures your mind, body, and spirit through every life phase.

I'm excited to share my postpartum journey, the lessons learned, and how I'm navigating this new chapter while prioritizing my health and business. Expect real, raw content as I figure out this new normal.

Speaking of figuring things out, I'm putting myself through my two-month THRIVE program! The same program I guide you through, I'll be doing myself. I'll share my progress, challenges, and insights as I regain energy, strengthen my body, and re-establish routines in this new phase of motherhood. This experience will help me personally and offer fresh perspectives to better support you. I'm excited to show you firsthand how adaptable and powerful THRIVE principles are, no matter what life throws your way.

I want you to know it does matter, you matter. As the busy mom you it is natural for you to prioritize your kids and family before you. But let’s be honest, how many more half crusty BPJ sandwiches and chip crumbs can you eat?

Tomorrow morning when you are packing lunches again when you take out the baggies for the chips or carrots or pretzels, take out one more bag for you. While you are making their lunches, make your snack at the same time.

Your thoughts are already about food and who likes what and what sandwich needs to be cut in four or have the crust taken off. Start with packing a snack for you so not another day goes by of munching on your kiddo’s left over lunch from the spiderman lunchbox. That one more thing is already revolving around what you are doing so it won't take as much mental power as you think it will.

You aren’t disgusting, it's just a temporary feeling, yes you most definitely should eat dinner, and a new pair of joggers might make the rest of your errands comfier because tight jeans are the worst feeling, then you think what am I going to do next time this happens? I don’t have time to plan my day out to include lunch let alone pack myself a lunch.

Next time will be a little different. Here is why next time WILL be different.

You cannot punish your way to losing weight around your midsection by not eating from a drive thru ever again.

You cannot stress your way to less anxious thoughts about if you might eat that way again or not.

You cannot get well in a body you hate and look at and think it’s disgusting.

Next time you find yourself out running errands, you have no snacks in the car and need to stop for some food, do what so many of my clients and myself now do.

Set boundaries around the food you get and how you are going to eat it. Yes, you can get McDonalds from time to time, but this time not the large meal and trade the coke in for a water. Sit in your car while it’s parked with the windows open and the radio on. Slow down and take 10 minutes to eat.

You can set boundaries without punishing yourself. There will be times when the best choice isn’t an available choice, so we have to pivot and make a new choice.

Do yourself a favor and save this post for the next time you are running errands and find yourself getting hangry again to remind yourself to set boundaries with the choices you have and that you cannot punish yourself to losing weight.

We worked together to set healthy boundaries around her choices and cultivate self-love.

Together, we explored the root causes of her unhealthy relationship with food and her body. We learned to recognize and address emotional eating triggers, and we developed healthy coping mechanisms for stress and negative emotions. We also focused on building a positive body image and self-acceptance.

Remember, change takes time, not minutes. It's okay to be where you are right now. Let's focus on progress, not perfection. By nurturing a healthy relationship with yourself and your body, you'll be better equipped to achieve your goals and live a happier, healthier life.

While weight loss can be a goal for many and is a significant achievement, it's important to remember that it's not a magic cure-all. By breaking free from food rules and embracing a healthier relationship with food, she discovered a newfound joy and confidence in her body.

It's a reminder that true wellness goes beyond the scale and extends to our mental health and self-esteem. Breaking free from food rules, she found joy and confidence.

Two key strategies that helped her were:

Mindful eating: She focused on paying attention to her body's hunger and fullness cues, eating slowly, and savoring each bite. This helped her develop a healthier relationship with food and avoid emotional eating.

Self-compassion: Instead of beating herself up for any slip-ups, she practiced self-compassion and treated herself with kindness. This helped her maintain a positive mindset and avoid negative self-talk.

I can tell you are Feeling overwhelmed by the thought of losing weight. Every journey starts with a single step.

I know firsthand how challenging it can be to step outside of your comfort zone. But trust me, the rewards are worth it. When you start to believe in yourself, amazing things can happen.

Starting a new habit can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Small, consistent steps can lead to big results. Don't worry about perfection. Just focus on progress. That’s what my Thrive program is all about, creating consistent small steps that fit perfectly into your busy schedule.

I know how easy it is to put your needs on the backburner. But the truth is, life will always be busy.

If you wait for a "free time" that never comes, you'll never make the changes you desire. When do any of us moms consistently have free time? We are usually busy MOST of the time.

I didn’t lose weight, love my body and where I was with myself image until I accepted these frustrating truths about my body, mind and my habits.

You won’t either, until you do too.

These 5 things I have written down are all a major part of my success. There are more that I have gathered after really tough conversations with myself, but these are the main ones that have kept me going. Stop looking at it as just 20 lbs. because it is and always will be so much more than just 20 lbs.

We can’t make changes while being comfortable. When we work together, I am going to challenge your beliefs because that is where true transformation comes from, being uncomfortable. It’s hard to be uncomfortable, but I will be there with you during those tough times cheering you on. A few years ago, I was in your exact same shoes. I've been you and I know how hard it really is to be “comfortable’ in the most uncomfortable way possible in a body you hate.
