We’ve Formed the Woven Circle Midwifery Collective

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration between several independent midwives across our region. By joining together, we’re able to offer families stronger support, greater safety, and more comprehensive care—while still giving you the personalized, one-on-one midwifery relationship you value.

This collective means:
• Your primary midwife is backed by a trusted circle.
• You benefit from shared skills, wisdom, and experience.
• Families in surrounding states gain broader access to high-quality midwifery care.
• Midwives receive the support they need to care for clients sustainably and wholeheartedly.

We practice independently, but we stand together—woven through shared values, respect, and dedication to holistic care.
We wrap a circle of support around you from pregnancy through birth.

And the heart of our name comes from this:
Female elephants protect each other fiercely. When one is vulnerable, the others surround her—tight, strong, and unshakable. Women do the same. Sometimes we are the one in the center, sometimes the one circling with fierce love. But the circle always remains.

🌙✨ Hospital Birth vs. Homebirth – What They Don’t Tell You (look at the pics from a local Mama's bill shared today)

Did you know the average hospital birth in the U.S. can cost $19,000–$24,000 for a straightforward vaginal delivery… and $35,000+ if it ends in a C-section? 😳

Meanwhile, a planned homebirth with a qualified midwife averages $5,000–$6,500 — and that usually includes all prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. Same baby. Same mama. Completely different price tag.

But here’s the thing ⬇️

For healthy, low-risk women, birth is not a medical emergency — it is a natural, physiological process that women’s bodies are designed for. When we treat birth as a medical event by default, it often leads to:
- Higher intervention rates (inductions, epidurals, C-sections)
- Higher risks of infections or complications from interventions
-Loss of autonomy and a more stressful birth environment

Planned homebirth, on the other hand, has been shown to be just as safe for low-risk pregnancies when attended by skilled midwives with clear transfer plans. 💜

It also offers:
- Lower risk of unnecessary interventions
- Personalized, continuous care from someone you already trust

Yes, hospitals are essential for high-risk situations and emergencies. But for the majority of women with healthy pregnancies, birth doesn’t have to be medicalized, expensive, or filled with interventions.
