Perspective is everything.

Sometimes we take our health and vitality for granted. It isn’t until we get sick that we really appreciate being health.

In the big picture, finding time to live a healthy lifestyle isn’t hard compared to being sick. Finding time to workout, cook a healthy meal, go see your chiropractor, meditating…is easy compared to dealing with the difficulties, frustrations and limits of being unwell.

Our job is to provide the ingredients, everyday.

We can split the ingredients up into three categories…how well we eat, move and think.

Eating is all about diet and fueling ourselves appropriately.

Moving is the physical exercise we do and how we take care of our bodies.

Thinking is all about our mindset, beliefs and inner chatter.

The bio-hacking and brain boosting industry is growing quickly.

There are endless notropics, supplements and gadgets…but the reality is the most important thing is to get the basics right which means:

Moving consistently throughout the day. Movement stimulates the brain. When we move our muscles and joints change position which results in a massive about of information feeding back to the brain. The brain loves this information.

When we are outside we are stimulating our senses. Sight, touch, smell, hearing (and sometimes taste). Once again this bombards the brain with a massive amount of information.

Lastly, when we fuel our brain and body with Whole Foods and we avoid toxic, processed foods we give the brain the necessary building blocks.

Movement is life.

Plants, animals, humans, bones, muscles, brains, minds and everything else must move to live!

If you break your arm and have it cast you have to stop moving it. When you stop moving your arm your muscles begin to waste away (atrophy). When you start moving your arm again your muscle will rebuild because movement is life! Movement is the stimulus we need to grow, learn, build and adapt.

All life needs to move.

As human beings, regularly moving, is the single best thing we can do for our health.

Similarly, the worst thing we can do for our health is stop moving!

Movement is life, motion is lotion.
