This year’s theme is “The Golden Age of Christmas.” The Walk opens Friday, November 28 in the Opera House Community Room following the Lighting of the Square.

As part of National 4-H Service Days members of the Woodstock Wannabes and their parents helped The Land Conservancy of McHenry County as they begin to establish their new Food Forest adjacent to Prairiewood/Creekside schools.

The goal of the TLC Food Forest is to grow edible plants, nut and fruit trees along with native perennials designed to attract beneficial insects and pollinators to the garden.

The club members spent the day laying out the first rows with organic compost that will eventually contain the perennials as well as covering the walkways in between with wood chips.
