Marian Central Catholic High School

Marian Central Catholic High School Established in 1959, Marian Central is a Roman Catholic Diocesan co-educational college-preparatory high school welcoming all students.

Established in 1959, Marian Central is a Roman Catholic Diocesan Co-educational College Preparatory High School. Marian Central offers a Catholic/Christian faith community where students are encouraged to grow intellectually and spiritually as they interact with each other, the church, and society. Our curriculum challenges all students, fosters academic excellence, encourages the development of c

ritical thinking skills, promotes physical wellness, and leads to a commitment to life-long learning within a caring and moral educational environment. We prepare our students to be responsible citizens in society as well as active participants in the church and in the world. Most importantly, at Marian Central, we guide our students in character development and the establishment of ethical standards through the application of Catholic principles and the teaching mission of the Church. Congratulations to every student who helped bring the black box production of St. Longinus to life. This was no small achievement—it was the result of dedication, creativity, and countless hours of hard work, both on stage and behind the scenes.

A special recognition goes to Senior Logan Cross, whose vision and leadership in writing and directing made this powerful story possible. St. Longinus explores the journey of the Roman centurion who pierced the side of Jesus Christ at the crucifixion, and who, through that life-altering moment, experienced a profound conversion to Christianity and ultimately gave his life as a martyr for his faith.

What you accomplished together is something to be truly proud of—a meaningful and memorable production that reflects both talent and heart of our students.

An all school retreat rooted in faith, community, and reflection. We came together as one for Mass, shared laughter through trivia, opened up in small groups, and closed in the presence of Christ during Adoration. Grateful for voices lifted in song, hearts lifted in prayer, and a community that walks together in faith.

Thank you to Father Warren, Mr. Schwartz, Campus Ministry, and all the staff and teachers who made this day possible—especially those who shared their powerful testimonials.

We are grateful to share the incredible success of this year’s Emerald Gala, held on Saturday, April 11 at the Grand Geneva Resort. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the evening raised an outstanding $169,906 in support of Marian Central Catholic High School.

One of the most impactful moments of the night was our “Meaningful Moment,” which focused on financial assistance. Guests were deeply moved by Maddie Kirchner ’26, who shared her personal story and the profound impact of a Marian education in her life.

We are incredibly thankful to the 252 guests, along with our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, who made this evening so special. Your continued support ensures that Marian Central Catholic remains a place where students are known, supported, and inspired.

Thank you for being part of our Marian family.

1st Place in the MCC Marketing Challenge!

Congratulations to Dr. Florer and the two student teams from his marketing classes for their hard work in preparing for the annual McHenry County College Marketing Challenge on Friday, April 10.

After selecting two teams from Marian to compete, the students dedicated themselves to developing a comprehensive marketing proposal for Gigi’s Playhouse in McHenry, IL.

Both teams delivered outstanding work. While only one Marian team advanced to the finals, they went on to take 1st place, competing against schools including Woodstock, Prairie Ridge, Crystal Lake South, Crystal Lake Central, and Cary-Grove.

Congratulations to all of the participating students—especially our first-place winners: Antonio Aguirre, JP Czeropski, Christine Chimel, and Kaylie Kowalsky!
