Dear Patients,
I'm sure that you share my extreme concern over the outbreak of COVID-19. I am writing to let you know of resources within my practice available for you to use during the coming weeks of social distancing.
First, my practice is able to see patients remotely with our Virtual Visit platform. You can access this from your phone, tablet, or computer. Do not worry if you are technology-impaired: my office is able to talk you through each step over the phone! In the past few days, we have helped many patients this way.
Second, we are able to perform testing for COVID-19 through a private laboratory. Testing is more limited through the Virginia Department of Health, so I am happy to be able to offer this service to patients in my practice. We will still need to screen you prior to testing to determine if it is appropriate. You will only be tested if you show symptoms of the virus! If you believe you may be infected, please call the office for an appointment for a drive-by swab.
Finally, you can also use the portal to reach out to me and my office with questions or concerns. Please also reference the CDC website for updates on the virus.
This is a very serious situation like the world has never seen. We will continue to be available and ready to accommodate your healthcare needs through this stressful time.
Sincerely,
Claudia Methvin, MD
Tracey Guilfoy, NP
