To be human is to feel great joy, as well as have times of pain. Sometimes along the way, we may need support to address and rebalance the difficult and joyful aspects of our daily life. Psychotherapy is one of the most powerful tools available to empower an individual in healing current and past wounds, deepening an understanding of themselves, and creating lasting change in one’s life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have my private outpatient practice located in Woodstock Maryland. I am an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Board Certified Diplomate in Social Work. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral therapies, EMDR, Emotional Freedom technique, different meditation techniques and other mind/body techniques. I am committed to providing resources to Children, Adolescents, Adults, Families and Groups that are designed to support them as they walk through challenging times in their lives. I listen closely to the needs and experiences of each individual and support his or her unique ability to heal. I believe that each of us has the intrinsic capacity to recognize how to grow in a healthy way and that therapy is able to tap into that wisdom. My approach to treatment is grounded in the belief that each person possesses innate, inner resources that he/she can use to heal, grow, and thrive. You do not heal 'from' trauma.
You simply come to know yourself
as Life Itself.

And you turn towards the wounded place.
And you flush it with attention,
which is love.

And maybe the wound will always be with you.
Maybe you will always walk with the hurt.
But now, you hold it. It doesn't hold you.
You are the container, not the contained.

It doesn't control you any longer, the wound.
Because it is drenched in awareness now.
Drenched in You.
Loved by You.
