Our Story

Rejoice Maids journey to the house cleaning industry started in 1997. I was introduce by my best friend Gina to the business.

The first house I cleaned was a 4000 square feet two story home. With no training, no tools and no support, Gina dropped me off at the house at 7:30 am. She told me to clean the house the way we clean our own house. I did. After 11 hours of scrubbing walls, floors and wiping silverware I was almost finished. Almost because according to the homeowner I was not done polishing the silver tray. She let me go home and finish the polishing next week.

I served that homeowner for more than two years working six to seven hours each cleaning. I had no complaint, it was the job I signed up for. The experience gave me good education as well as lessons. One lesson I learned is that I would never make my employees clean walls with bird droppings. It was very hard. The higher the walls the harder it is to remove the dried bird p**p.

From that one house I cleaned weekly, my employer recommended me to more homeowners in the neighborhood. For thirteen years my husband and I worked together to get our life together. We both went back to school. I started with GED then five years of college while cleaning homes daily and taking care of my family. It was the toughest years for our family.
