Laurie Vinson Hostetler, a dedicated member of the AOFS team for the past six years. Based out of our Kennestone corporate office, Laurie plays a vital role as Regional Operations Supervisor, supporting our Cumberland, Decatur, Dawsonville, and Stockbridge locations.

Outside of work, Laurie is all about quality time with her husband Ethan and their four wonderful boys: Ryan (26), Cameron (22), Liam (15), and Holden (13). Whether it's golfing, beach trips, pool days, or movie and game nights, Laurie's home is always buzzing with activity. She says, “We are a blended family, and it’s been such a challenging/rewarding journey.” She's also a big fan of seasonal decorating, especially for Halloween and Christmas. Her family never misses a chance to dress up for themed events!

Laurie’s love for animals adds even more life to her home. Alongside their three Corgis, Gunner, Kona, and Lucy, the family shares their space with even more exotic animals like their citrus bearded dragon named Elvira, a black King snake named Echo, and a frilled dragon/lizard named Milo. As Laurie puts it, “It’s never a dull moment around my house!”

She also cherishes her lifelong friendships, holding close the high school best friends who’ve remained by her side over the years.

Earlier this year, Laurie received a diagnosis that has changed her life. With immense strength and resilience, she is now focused on raising awareness and advocating for research. In her words:

“I’d like to share something personal with you all—this past May, I was diagnosed with ALS. It was an unexpected and shocking diagnosis, and it’s completely changed my life. However, one of the first things that came to mind was how important it is to spread awareness about this devastating disease. ALS has been around for many years, but there’s still so much we don’t know, and so much more that needs to be done. I’m committed to doing what I can to help raise awareness, educate others, and hopefully push for more research and resources to support those affected. It’s a tough road ahead, but I believe awareness and support can make all the difference. If you’d like to help support me and others affected by ALS, please consider joining me for Walk ALS Georgia. Last week Dr. Joshua Levy gave a presentation on dental implant therapy to his top referrals. Guests enjoyed a great meal from Gianni & Mac’s, drinks, and a unique program straight from one of our very own! Dr. Levy touched on how immediate placement can reduce surgical burden and minimally invasive decision-making is biologically and financially beneficial - essentially, Less is More! Thanks to all who came out and engaged with us. We had a wonderful time!

This past Friday, our Woodstock team headed out for a royally good time at Medieval Times — and it did not disappoint!

A huge shoutout to Dr. Wunderle III, who went above and beyond by designing custom shirts for everyone to wear 🙌. From cheering on knights to sharing laughs over dinner, the team had an amazing time bonding outside the office.

Referrals from the north end of Atlanta joined us for a rare opportunity in hearing from one of our own surgeons, Dr. Salam Salman. His presentation on Preprosthetic and Complex Restoration Options was truly insightful. It was amazing to see some of the before and after photos of lives truly changed by Oral Surgery. Dr. Salman presented some cases where patients felt they had no other options, but he and his team were able to help them get their smile and their life back! Thank you to everyone who joined us at Main Street Events by 1885 Grill in Acworth, and a special thanks to Dr. Salman, Dr. Kragor, Dr. Dillard, and Dr Wunderle for hosting such a great event for our referrals.

n recent months, an insurance transition at our practice resulted in unforeseen and frustrating ongoing billing and payment issues for some of our patients using Cigna Dental. We have been working diligently to resolve this issue.
Today, we are happy to announce that AOFS providers and locations are in network with Cigna. We sincerely apologize for any challenges patients have encountered in recent months. Our goal remains to provide a 5-star patient experience from the first call to the final outcome. Likewise, our priority is to retain and grow the trust our referrals have placed in us to care for their patients over the past 45 years.
