The September 26th Project was created to honor the lives of an autistic son and his advocate mother who passed in a home fire in 2020. In keeping the legacy of advocating for people with autism, this project aims to help families be prepared with fire safety. Please take these ideas in consideration- it might just be a life-saver!

We got to share the love with our staff in Woodstock, Cartersville, and Calhoun yesterday with our favorite morning motivator: CAFFEINE! Our RBTs love their clients and work so hard to make sure they receive the best ABA therapy. The BCBAs are such servant leaders in our organization and collaborate with everyone to increase skills and improve lives! Thank you to Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck and HeBrews Coffee & Co!

Hey Y'all! We celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages because we love all forms of communication that help our clients! We utilize basic American Sign Language to help our non-verbal kiddos build communication skills to request for activities, toys, and more! Our therapists are continually building their repertoire to add new words when our kiddos find new reinforcements! Join us in learning to spell the word "love" with the picture shown!

Today's Fun Reads leans towards our pre-teens and teenagers with autism! Dr. Sterling's book is full of insights to help guys and girls - "Be true to yourself" is a constant saying our adolescents hear, but how to put that in practice can be harder for kiddos with autism. This is a great book for teens and parents alike!

One of our amazing BCBAs in Calhoun has worked with the local library to have a sensory-friendly movie area for kiddos with special needs! Drive from wherever you are to give your kids a place to hang out, snack, and be able to enjoy a movie with your families!

Come join us in partnership with North Georgia Autism Center to enjoy a family movie after the library closes! With reduced hustle and bustle, our hope is that this can be an accessible experience for the family to go out and watch a movie! We will have snacks, sensory play and alternative seating to ensure comfortable moving time. 🎬
