Dr. Jacqueline Luann O'Connell (Williams) is a Licensed Psychologist by the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists ( #3915). She also held licensure (Licensed Psychologist with Health Service Provider (HSP) Designation)) by the State of Tennessee Department of Health (Board of Examiners in Psychology) for approximately three years (retired June, 2014). Dr. O'Connell was also a licensed S
chool Psychologist through the State of Tennessee Department of Education. Dr. O'Connell was a partner/practicing psychologist at Cherokee Counseling & Psychological Associates (CCPA), L.L.P. (in Woodstock, Georgia) for 8+ years before opening her own practice. She is currently working as a licensed psychologist at her private practice, Dr. Jackie O, LLC. Areas of assessment include (but are not limited to): ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Anxiety Disorders, Behavior Disorders, Cognitive Delays, Depression (and other mood disorders), and Learning Disabilities. in Psychology from Western Michigan University and attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she earned a Ph.D. from UT’s School Psychology program. Dr. O’Connell completed her internship and post-doctoral experience at Cherokee Health Systems (CHS) in East Tennessee. While at CHS, she provided traditional school psychology services within the schools, in addition to conducting psychological evaluations in clinical settings. Dr. O’Connell has worked in private clinical settings conducting psychological evaluations for children and adults. Prior to joining CCPA, she administered evaluations at Child & Adult Clinical Associates (Knoxville, TN). She also has experience working as a school psychologist in elementary, middle, and high school settings. Dr. O’Connell has experience working with children, parents, and school staff in urban and rural school settings across East Tennessee and Michigan, as well as a suburban district of Chicago. Her previous work experience also includes working as an educational consultant providing School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) services to schools, in addition to conducting ADHD evaluations for college students. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at local, state, and national conferences on information regarding global reading assessments, group/classroom contingencies focusing on increasing appropriate behaviors, and SWPBS. Dr. O'Connell is currently a member of the Georgia Association of School Psychologists (GASP), the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA), and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). She has been a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Knoxville Area Psychology Association (KAPA) in the past.
