Some time ago, I met a young woman who had a sudden spiritual awakening — the kind that shakes your whole world and lights it up at the same time.
Awakenings can be terrifying when they arrive unexpectedly. A vision, an astral shift, a burst of sixth-sense perception… the unseen suddenly becomes visible, and nothing feels the same.
This young woman — let’s call her Sally — had just spent a quiet month alone in North Carolina. When she returned to NYC, she joined a small Reiki practice group.
During her session, she felt herself slip into another dimension. She jumped off the table, looked at her hands, and saw her whole body as energy — glowing white.
The group didn’t know how to support her. Someone handed her a triangle (yes, the musical instrument!) and told her to play it.
The vibration only sent her higher.
For two weeks, she saw energies everywhere. The city noise became unbearable. She couldn’t touch people, couldn’t smoke, couldn’t ground herself.
Thankfully, her mother found me (God bless caring moms). I was able to explain what she was going through and give her grounding tools. I could show her the beauty under the fear.
Because here’s the truth:
When your awareness expands suddenly, people might tell you you’re “crazy.”
They may push you to see someone, and that someone might give you medication — when what you truly need is guidance, grounding, and meditation.
People like Sally are not broken.
They are awakening.
And those who haven’t experienced an energy opening often fear it or deny it.
What’s really happening is expansion.
You’re gaining new tools to create your reality and direct your life with intention.
Your thoughts become the brush that paints your world.
Even though Sally was scared, she knew — deep down — it was good. She felt the truth of it.
Intuition is our greatest guide during spiritual growth.
When you don’t know what to do, sit quietly, close your eyes, breathe, and ask.
The answer will come — in that moment or later — because we are all connected to a vast, loving consciousness.
You can always ask for clarity. For healing. For transformation.
And above all, for love.
Love is the greatest force there is —
Mother God, Father God, Child God, all woven into one universal heartbeat.
