We are grateful for the heart and leadership of our COO, Equine Therapist, and Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Tori Teska.
Tori’s journey through substance use, treatment, and recovery inspired her to help others find healing. Her passion for horses led her to equine therapy, where she helps people reconnect, regulate, and grow.
Behind the scenes, Tori also ensures The Wings of Dragonfly meets the highest standards in compliance and procedures. Her dedication to recovery and to making a positive impact in our community is truly unmatched. 🐎💙

During a brainspotting session, a trained therapist helps identify specific eye positions—called brainspots—that correspond with unprocessed trauma or emotional experiences stored in the brain. When a person focuses on that spot while remaining mindful of what they are feeling in their body, the brain can begin to process and release those stored experiences naturally.

Amanda understands bipolar disorder not only through clinical training, but through lived experience. Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that affects mood, energy, and the ability to function day-to-day. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, bipolar disorder affects approximately 2.8% of adults in the United States each year, and while it can be challenging, it is also highly treatable with the right support, therapy, and medication when appropriate.
Amanda often reminds our clients that bipolar disorder does not define a person—it is simply one part of their story.

There’s something sacred about the way a horse meets your spirit.
For Tori Teska, that connection wasn’t something she found later in life — it was something that quietly found her, again and again, through every season she walked through.
From the time she was young, horses were never “just animals.” They were steady when life felt uncertain. They listened without interrupting. They mirrored emotions she didn’t yet have words for. In moments of doubt, they offered grounding. In moments of joy, they amplified it. And in moments of heartbreak, they stood close — breathing, present, patient.
