CRC invites you to a new group for women in South Austin! Healing What's Within: A Restorative Group For Women will be a time of exploring places of disconnection within yourself and using story, attachment, and somatic work to bring healing to your inner person.

Drawing from Chuck DeGroat’s book "Healing What’s Within", interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed body-based tools, you'll focus on working gently with the places that have been hidden or overextended — and begin the slow, sacred work of reconnecting to who you really are. Includes psychoeducation, nervous system regulation, journaling, story-sharing, and trauma-informed movement.

This group will be facilitated by Sarah Dwelle MA, LPC Associate, Supervised by Allison Eckelkamp, MA, LPC-S and Pamela Allen, MA, LPC-S and Melissa Pearson-Dodson, Graduate Student Intern, Supervised by Pamela Allen, MA, LPC-S. Registration at the link in our bio.

Do these core beliefs sound familiar to you? Do you resonate with negative self-talk that says:
“I’m too much”
“I’m the problem”
“I can’t really be loved as I am”?

In continuing our celebration of ADHD Awareness Month, we’re addressing these common negative thoughts experienced by those with ADHD. Sarah Dwelle shares an insightful look at the emotional experience of those with neurodivergence and how nurturing, compassionate relationships help rewrite that shaming voice.

Coming into a compassionate, accepting relationship with yourself and others may be just what your system needs for healing. Our therapists at CRC care deeply about offering space for just that. Through modeling and attunement, we facilitate opportunities for integration and nurture of parts that have been burdened by shame. Come alongside one of our therapists to begin your path to peace and restoration!

All of us at Center for Relational Care wish you a happy World Mental Health Day! We pray for an outpouring of peace, connection, healing, and restoration to our nation and the world. We lift our eyes to God, our helper, and seek His refreshing presence to be with all people. 🩵

Join us in praying this blessing over the world today:

"Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
The Lord will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps."
- Psalm 85:10-13 ✨

Is your child struggling with peer conflict? Or knowing how to handle bullies?

September's book of the month is "How to Be A Friend" by Laurie Kransy Brown!

If your child is struggling with friends and peers, this is a great resource to pick up or check out from your local library. As you read together, we have provided some process questions in the post to further support your child's understanding of this topic and help you take part in their social development. Try it out!
