Shenandoah Community Health Clinic Announces Reduction in
Services and Hours

The Shenandoah Community Health Clinic announces that it will temporarily reduce the number of medical and dental services offered and limit weekly operating hours as part of necessary cost-saving measures effective June 1, 2026.

Mental Health Services will remain unchanged.

Like many nonprofit healthcare providers across the country,
the clinic relies heavily on federal and state funding programs, grants, and individual donations to support operations and provide affordable care to the community. Ongoing economic pressures and changes in the current political and funding environment have significantly affected the clinic’s financial resources.

Despite these challenges, the clinic remains committed to continuing service to the community with reduced staffing and adjusted hours of operation. Patients will continue to receive essential healthcare services, though some programs and appointment availability may be limited.

“We remain dedicated to serving our patients and community
during this difficult period,” said Leigh Sicina, the Clinic’s Executive
Director. “These changes are necessary to help ensure the long-term sustainability of our organization and the continuation of critical healthcare services.”

Updated hours, available services, and scheduling information will be communicated directly to patients and announced to the community through the clinic’s regular communication channels.

The Clinic thanks the community for its continued support, understanding, and commitment to local healthcare access.

Well… today brought a little unexpected excitement at the clinic!

A big thank you to our amazing local Fire Departments for quickly coming out to check a gas leak from one of our water heaters.

It was also a good reminder that while routine maintenance and inspections are extremely important, sometimes things still break or fail—even when you’re doing everything right. Equipment wears out, parts fail, and that’s exactly why paying attention to unusual smells or warning signs matters.

Gas appliances like water heaters should always be checked and maintained regularly, and if something seems off, it’s always better to have it looked at right away.

We’re thankful this one turned into nothing more than a quick safety check and replacing a water heater. Huge appreciation to our firefighters who are always there to help keep our community safe!
