BEE RELAXED

Bee Relaxed is a slower-paced yoga class that combines elements of restorative and yin yoga. With a focus on the breath and taking time to slow down, it is a great option for anyone looking to unwind and let everything go. This is often recommended as a great class for beginners as well. This class is accessible for anyone regardless of fitness or experience level. BEE ENERGIZED

Bee Energized is a multi-level yoga class that combines elements of vinyasa and hatha yoga in a fun atmosphere. A flowing sequence of poses will focus on connecting movements to the breath in order to increase strength, energy and flexibility. This is the perfect class for everyone. Variations and modifications are a fundamental part of this class; it is a great option for beginners and experienced yogis alike. BEE BALANCED

Bee Balanced is a combination of the Bee Energized and Bee Relaxed classes. The class will integrate a gentle flow with restorative yoga. BEE STRONG

Bee Strong is a faster-paced vinyasa class offering more challenging asanas and transitions. The class will build heat and experiment with a deeper practice both physically and mentally. Yoga postures and movement will be connected with the breath throughout this practice. This class is recommended for anyone looking to build strength and seeking a challenge in their yoga practice. BEE POWERFUL

Bee Powerful is an energetic and challenging practice, which connects breath to movements. This class is taught in a heated room. Classes are based on Baron Baptiste power vinyasa tradition. The sequence will build heat, increase flexibility and strength, and lift your spirit. This class is perfect for anyone willing to sweat and be challenged in their yoga practice. BARRE FLOW

BarreFlow incorporates strength, endurance and flexibility into one invigorating workout. The focus on posture and form and the smooth transitions between exercises will help even the most busy minded student become more present as concentration is necessary to get the most out of this class. BarreFlow will help you achieve a balanced body and a quiet mind

**All classes are multi-level. Modifications and assists are always available. Classes are $10 drop in or $70 unlimited monthly, cash/check/card/Venmo

There is a shift happening in the yoga world, there have been multiple posts lately ~ what is a yoga studio? what is offered in these spaces? is it actually yoga anymore? Is yoga and a beer or with a goat really yoga?

So a little re introduction to our space and who we are

We are a studio that is rooted in yoga traditions, philosophy, breath and lived experiences
Our weekly schedule is accessible to everyone, our classes are all levels. Yoga is all levels.
Prop friendly, non heated, friendly welcoming space. A place that feels like home from the moment you walk in. 

But we are also a studio that understands that sometimes you need to infuse a little something extra into special events. That even if it’s not something that we like to talk about, we are business and need to operate as such. We can continue to offer what we feel is a traditional yoga class (at a price that is also accessible to everyone) in our day to day schedule and also have events and “trendy” classes that draw in a crowd

You will find us at breweries, distilleries, flower farms and local businesses of all kinds. From time to time the studio gets decked out in black lights and the music gets a little louder. There will be themed classes around the holidays and we might even do yoga with goats again someday. But even in those offerings a thread of tradition and philosophy always runs through. 

We believe that there is a path for everyone to find their way to the mat.

JUST A LITTLE REMINDER THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO MAKE RESOLUTIONS.OR HUGE DECISIONS. OR BIG PROCLAMATIONS.
YOU CAN JUST SET SOME SWEET INTENTIONS AND TAKE EACH DAY AS IT COMES.

Too Often we feel That we have to make big grand gestures of change and resolutions because the calendar changed, the societal pressure to fix something.

But It goes against nature…The dead of winter is simply not the time to start something new. To change habits drastically or set big intentions for transformation.
Look at the world around you - all of nature is in a phase of hibernation, dormancy, rest, and connection.

Use this week/month/season as a time of reflection.

The pause after the holidays a time to be grateful…
This past year might have brought challenges, it might have been hard, there were ups and down. Joy and happiness, pain heartache and Things changed, in good ways and in ways You maybe wish they didn’t….this is life.

But whatever the year brought you it brought you to this moment - the version of you that carried you through it, thank that person, have gratitude before you make any changes, before you try to better yourself or alter your life.

There is no where else you need to be and nothing else you need to do right now but to find quiet and calm
Instead of wishing to change or fix something that doesn’t really need to be altered

And then slowly as you find Rest. Ease. Peace. Begin to Declutter. Release. Connect. Roll out your mat and breath
Prepare your mind, body, home, relationships, and self for transformation and goal setting when the natural inclination is at its peak at the welcoming of Spring.

Enjoy the beauty and the Yin and Yang of the holidays with presence, purpose, balance and love.

For anyone who has practiced at non action you will know how paradoxically active and engaged receptivity can be

Instead of negative we might refer to yin as magnetic. It is the realm of interiority of holding, waiting, invoking

Instead of dark we might say reflective like the moon or gestational like the soil

Yin is the place of refuge and rest, of containment and acceptance
Darkness is after alll the primordial web from which dreams emerge
It is the origin of all life
Before it comes into being
Yin is the receptive, Feeling compassionate force within
it knows the wisdom of surrender and chooses to yield
Even when everyone else is getting ahead.

For yin, withdrawing is entering
It’s there we refine our intuition and have a centre from which to interrelate

Yin is the eternal or what Rumi calls the readbed
It is the place form which all beings have been placed and to which we Will all someday return
Like the ecosystem, yin considers all the components essential
Ideas that emerge from this level of imagination serve more than the individual cause
They serve the great togetherness unto which we are all responsible.

Winter Solstice
The time of the year with the great darkness.
Nature slumbers in quiet starkness.
The trees are bare, the earth is asleep.
The silence and stillness run truthful and deep.
Recognize that as the earth is resting, It bestows on you its greatest blessing.
That from winter comes spring and life once again.
For the wheel of nature, spins with no end.
Take ease in these cycles, honest and true.
Have faith in the thyhm of nature for you.
Realize that harmony comes from within, And know all is well as the new cycle begins
