We send most of our optical jobs away to DBL labs in Minnesota, where the lenses are cut and put into the frame and then returned to us in about 3 weeks. However, in some circumstances (depending on the prescription and if the patient’s own frame is being used), we will cut the lenses here in our office! Also, we’re sometimes able to save the day by using stock lenses to make glasses for patients in emergency situations. Here’s a photo of Peter taking a newly cut lens out of the edger! 👓🤓
