The activity department would like to help you downsize, don't let it sit in your closet collecting dust! Here are a few things we are looking for, for upcoming projects. Chunky yarn in red, green, orange, and beige. Wiggly eyes all sizes, felt- orange, red and black, artificial colored fall leaves. Canning rings, 1/2 or 3/8 ribbon, floral wire, different colors of green construction paper, and jingle bells. Cardboard egg cartons! Just drop them off to Abby or Deb. Thank you, we appreciate your kindness!

Where there's smoke there is fire and these residents were on fire today! Today they finished the crossword puzzle in 9 minutes and 11 seconds! They are smokin hot! It's a good thing they don't make me eat crow when I tell them they will never beat a new record....well here we go again! Congratulations to this great group of residents.

The first Monday of August means..Music Monday and all the way from Menomonie, taking those "Country Roads" that he sang about is John Lynch! John starts the month out right for us by playing all our favorites. We enjoyed, "I'll Be Seeing You", "Ring of Fire" and "I'll Fly Away" along with "A White Sports Coat and a Pink Carnation". We always enjoy John's music and sense of humor! I think next month he will be sporting a pair of OBNS! We can't wait!! 😉

As our Christmas in July started to wind down it was only the right thing to do and that was to play Christmas BINGO! The rules were that if you got a Bingo you could choose a present or take a piece of candy. Everyone enjoyed the mystery of what was in the presents and they all smiled and laughed at their choices! I think we need more practice on opening presents!! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Park View residents enjoyed a Christmas tea with hot chocolate, cut out sugar cookies and Russian tea cakes. It was an afternoon full of surprises! Santa and Mrs. Claus handed out Christmas cards to everyone and they even got a special Christmas Candy bar! It was the magical kind....no calories, only Santa could do that!

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane. Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeers pulling on the reins. Bells are ringing, children singing, all is merry and bright. So hand your stockings and say your prayers, cause Santa Claus comes tonight....well he sure did! We had just gathered for some delicious Christmas cookies, along with hot chocolate to take the chill off and who should walk in...but Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus! They just happened to be on vacation and saw the Grinch leaving and knew that they needed to spread some Christmas Cheer!

Who invited the "GRINCH"? Leave it to the Grinch to crash a good sing a long. What his purpose was we have no idea, he must have taken a wrong turn looking for Whoville! Did anyone see his dog Max, he probably had to guard the sleigh! Thanks for stopping in Grinch, we hope you make it back to Whoville....

Merry Christmas....in July! Our day was filled with all sorts of fun. We started the day out with Jan Hanson leading us in a sing-a-long of our favorite Christmas Carols. Just so you all know, Jan was the one who said let's do Christmas in July! From there it blossomed and the only thing missing was the mistletoe! Jan was joined by Dawn Tunison on the trumpet. Those two sure know how to start a party!
