If you are reading this letter then I know you are in the process of making one of the hardest and most important decisions you will ever face: How to take care of a loved one who can no longer take care of himself. No doubt you are considering options that include home health care, assisted living, short term rehabilitative or long term residential care, or perhaps hospice care. Nursing care is about far more than a facility’s bricks and mortar. What counts most is the experience and expertise of the people who work inside. I have been the owner of Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre since 1975 and I can tell you that our residents are blessed with a dedicated, motivated, and compassionate staff that is second to none. Our annual surveys consistently rank them among the best in our region. I know from experience because I have turned to them to care for friends and family members alike including my own mother. I would not have entrusted her to anyone else. Unlike many nursing facilities today, ours is not run by some distant, faceless corporation. We are and always have been a family owned and operated business with deep roots in our state and local communities. We try harder because our livelihoods depend on serving the needs of our residents. When problems arise, residents and their families can always find an open door and an attentive ear to listen to their concerns. Whatever option of care you are looking at, I invite you to call our admissions department to schedule a guided tour of our facility. It’s official, the new rankings are up!

To All Staff Members: I am thrilled to share with you some wonderful news we received just today.

Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre has once again regained its 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services! This is the highest possible rating a skilled nursing facility like ours can attain!

This outstanding achievement is the result of the dedication, commitment, compassion and sheer hard work that each of you in every department does day after day. I cannot express how proud I and all my family are of you. You should all be proud of yourselves as well. I have long said that you are the best of the best, and here’s the proof!

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all of our WHRC family! What a great way to lead into our 50th Anniversary celebration in September!
