•Testimony Tuesday•

My husband and I went to our weekly appointment. Dr. VandeVelde was the one we saw that morning. She had asked if I have had any contractions, I answered with “no, should I be?!” I had mentioned that maybe I had some fluid coming out. She mentioned that we should swab and test to see if my water was broke. We had actually set up our induction day to be the following week. We left Bloomington, my husband was on his way to work, and I was going home. Before I had even left Kidron, I got a call from Dr VandeVelde saying, we need to go right to L & D. Apparently my water had broke! Crazy!

We got to the Women’s Pavilion about 10:40am. Right from the start, we were so comfortable with everything that was about to happen. Our nurses were so wonderful! Kenzie was our nurse when baby Auggie was born! Wonderful! We could not have been any happier when we found out Kelly Williams was going to be delivering our baby! Wonderful Midwife!

Truly the best experience we have ever had! Thank you Bloomington, Women’s Pavilion, Kelly, Kenzie, and all the others that were there for us!

• Fun fact… May babies are lucky! A study conducted in the U.K showed that this month is the luckiest month to be born. This may have something to do with optimism that comes with the month of May because a positive attitude is associated with greater flexibility.

Our new schedule will be the first Thursday of each month at 11 AM -Join us virtually from the comfort of your home.
Then the third Thursday of each month at 11 AM- Joins us for an in-person Baby Bistro session!
📍 Held in our outpatient lactation area, just outside the Women’s Pavilion.
Led by an IBCLC, our in-person sessions will include:

•Testimony Tuesday•

On August 28th, I was sent down from the ob following my 39 week appointment to monitor my blood pressure. After a few hours they decided that they were gonna induce me to play it safe because I lived an hour away. Nothing went as planned. After laboring with no meds for 12 hours I decided to get the epidural. My daughter’s heart rate kept dropping and I was rushed to OR for an emergency C-section. My daughter came out needed help breathing & I started bleeding more than normal. But from beginning to start Tabitha didn’t leave my side, especially when my fiancé had to follow our not breathing baby out of the room. Once recovered & moved to a different room after having my daughter, Tabitha still showed up to see her.

I will 100% be driving down for the next baby I have to, all the nurses that we interacted with were amazing & of course Dr. Marc Anthony, Dr. VanVelde & Kelly.
